Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
AllState? huh CrapState if you ask me....I was hit by one of their policy holders on August 22 2008, I am writing on September 24 2008, My car is still wrecked in the driveway. First off they gave me a hard time when I chose my shop instead of using theres, then I had to constantly call to see what was going on. They would just tell me "why do you need the check so bad? It will get there." "Just take the car in and get it fixed you dont need a check to do that". I m glad I didnt do that, my car would be sitting there for a month FIXED and waiting for a check! Rediculouse, AllState reps are rude and always making me seem like a pest for wanting this resolved. Telling me attitude will not help at all. I wouldnt have attitude if this was resolved correctly and promptly. It wasnt convenient for me to get hit so why should I have to wait till a comvenient time for you to fix my car? I would never recomened AllState to anyone and I pray this doesnt happen to me again!

Strengths:
Real strong at being jerks

Price Paid:  $1622.00 from Esurance

Summary:
Worst mistake ever to choose Esurance. I switched to State Farms afterward and saved almost $600 for a half yr rate. Not only Esurance is expensive (my quote was $1622 for 6 months!!!), their service is the worst! The so called "feedback" form from them was never sent to me after i switched. It was extremely hard to get a hold of the claims representative- Shannon Ortega, or the entire office at Sacremento. My calls get forwarded to voicemail of the claims representative, then to the supervisor, then I finally had to leave a voicemail to their office, which no one else picked up. Shannon was rude to me most of the time and was speaking for the other person, instead of me, when I was telling her what had happened. She went ahead and wrote the letter saying i'm 100% at fault even before I can have a chance to talk with her about my side of the story in detail. I also felt she had prejudice against me by making a decision without hearing the entire story, speaking for the other person, and claiming that "[she knows] the law", as if she were the police. I give a star to Esurance because they made it easy for me to switch to another company, but with a $50 fee...

Strengths:
still staying in business

Weaknesses:
The system failed to process my application online and I had to wait forever to get a help from service rep. I ended up with 2 VIN #s which caused me some trouble later on. Expensive quote, bad service, inconsiderate and rude claims representative.

Price Paid:  $2100.00 from all states

Year / Model Reviewed:
2008 Acura

Summary:
it's a RIPPED off. Don't even think about all states auto insurance companies. Ok, here is what happened.
I have been driving for about 10 years with no accident, and I moved from LA to New york about a year ago. So, I need to get a new insurance in New york. Then, I do what other people usually do and shop around for insurance. After all the phone calls, it came down to ALL State. Their rates was $ 1850 for a year. So, I did all the paper work. 2 months later, I got my statement and I saw the premium went up to $2100 for 6 months. I made my call and see what's going on. They said I am missing a proof of 5 years insurance. After all that, they still didn't give me the rate that they quoted me. They used a very lame reason and say my letter is invalid. So, at the end The whole process is very shady and unprofessional.

Strengths:
They gave you a very low price when you get your first insurance quote. But, they didn't tell you what other paperwork you need to provide them when afterwards to get that quote.

Review 4 of 65

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
More than seven months ago, my car was hit by another driver. It took Allstate four weeks to determine that my car was deemed a total loss and inform me of the settlement amount. Four weeks! Who has four weeks to wait around without a car and without the ability to purchase a new car because you have no idea how much you will get paid out?
I waited patiently to be reimbursed for my deductible. Fast forward seven months. I still haven't received my deductible, so I called the insurance company of the driver who caused the accident. It turns out that Allstate never even filed a claim with the other insurance company, nor did they bother to request a copy of the police report.

Strengths:
????

Weaknesses:
Terrible customer service. Choose another insurance company

Summary:
Ive had Allstate since 1989, and everytime a renewal pops up I have a substantial increase in price as to my premiums. I started out with $1500 per six months and now im at $3000. No accidents or anything. When you call them, they never answer the phone, and there is a charge for everything. DONT PURCHASE AUTO INSURANCE WITH THESE INSOLENT SNAKES!
