Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
I'm so surprised to see all the negative reviews! I've had American Family since I could drive, and have always been treated wonderfully. I've filed two claims, and both were handled swiftly and politely. They are a great company that seems to always have their insureds best interests at heart.

Strengths:
Great service, competitive rates, swift claims resolution

Weaknesses:
None

Summary:
I had American Family Insurance for 3 years, last month I came to agent claim for a small claim ( I have my car unlocked cost $59.00 ) By the next week, they send me letter said that they have to review my credit score, I had problem with my mortgage ( I think most people does now due to economy ) now, my insurance jump from $245.00 month to $375.00 / month, I had no claim and no accident last 3 years. Im looking for other insurance company now.

Summary:
I have had American Family Insurance for over 3 years and they are the best. I hit a deer, went to the agents office the next day. They took a picture, sent my car down for an estimate, made arrangements for a rental car and I had the check to repair the car in two days

Strengths:
Good rates Good Service fast claims

Weaknesses:
Wish everyone would use them

Review 5 of 47

Price Paid:  $0.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
2001 Ford Ranger

Summary:
I was rear ended by a American Family insured. There were two of us in the car. I was the passenger. Both of us suffered moderate whiplash injuries. We were hit while driving a work vehichle. The driver was offered 44k for his injuries which were rated at a 9% disability. My injury rated at 13% and this company offered me $5200. What a joke. I am hiring a lawyer.

Strengths:
zero it took them nearly a year and a half to give me a number that was unacceptable.

Weaknesses:
I warn anyone to stay away from this company. If you are hit by their insured good luck but I doubt you will have any luck but bad.

State Farm is the best.
