Review 1 of 15

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
I looked at so many reviews and recommendations before I purchaseda deck that I almosy went mad...From trying all the decks at the local shop to Best Buy! I must admit that this Clarion head-unit is not the easiest to use, but has more features than I could even hope use..I currently have the Equilizer for this unit and both combined are a completely new experince in my car audio experience. I feel I am spoiled from these 2 pieces of equipment, because I fear when I upgrade I will not be a satisfied at I am now! The SQ (sound quality) of this deck is better than just about any deck out there, unless of-course you can afford a top quality Eclipse *im not in that category* I live this deck in my setup and I highly recommend it!

Strengths:
In order of importance 1)Great SQ 2)One of the best power shut off systems I have ever owned This is very important if you hope to never fry your deck 3) The Equilizer combo is the best I have ever heard 4) many outputs for all your customization dreams 5) great screen saver to woe' all your friends 6) reads CD's with great precision..skips are rare, unless you have a deep gash in your CD 7) How can anyone live without a volume knob?

Weaknesses:
1) some buttons are soooo small and in hard to use places while driving 2) I dont like the color green they chose as the main color *just a personnal thing* 3) Took me awhile to learn how to use everything easily, you cannot just plug&play..you must read the book (more than once might I add..) 4) High Price......most cannot afford it!!!!

Similar Products Used:
I have owned many Alpine units, and one previous Clarion Unit....I had an Eclipse reciever for about 2 weeks before my car got broken-into..*Now have a clifford alarm* :)

Year / Model Reviewed:
 Lexus ES300 1995

Summary:
Excellent headunit. Upgraded after my Clarion DRX9275lz finnaly died after 6 years of service. The volume knob is a great addition, and so is the title track select for the cd-changer. Pre-Amp is the only way to go.

Strengths:
Pre-Amp, Screen savers, user friendly, beautiful headunit.

Weaknesses:
MUST use the screensavers at night or be forced to wear shade.
