Review 1 of 4

Price Paid:  $250.00 from Crutchfield on Sale

Year / Model Reviewed:
 RFX8350

Summary:
Great Head Unit, as many have said, kinda plain looking, BUT, wow, the things you can do with this unit!!!

Strengths:
Clairity is a 12 on a scale of 1-10. Overall a great unit

Weaknesses:
After about a year of abuse, and its seen 2 diff. cars. When i insert a CD it will spit it back out after making a grinding noise time and time again.

Review 3 of 4

Price Paid:  $150.00 from ebay

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2000 RFX-8350

Summary:
This unit is hands down the best CD receiver I have ever used. Rockford continues their legacy for making high quality products with this unit! It outperforms all of the Alpine, Clarion, and Sony head units with ease.

Strengths:
Very easy to control. You can adjust everything with the turn of one knob. Many, many options for controling accessories - 2 A/V (Yes, video) and 4 outputs for external amps. Plus a connector for a CD changer or MP3 changer.

Weaknesses:
None. This is a great unit.

Similar Products Used:
Clarion, Alpine, Sony

Review 4 of 4

Price Paid:  $300.00 from ubid.com

Summary:
Great head unit. Good looks and tons of pre-outs. Kinda simple looking, but to me it is all about the sound. Needs more bass, but what can you expect from a head unit.

Strengths:
Good looks, A/V switcher, remote, full multi color face, 2 aux inputs, and good reception.

Weaknesses:
40x4 is a little on the weak side, but it does have a 25x4 rms that sounds very clear.

Too many to list
