Review 1 of 5

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
Had a JVC deck like this a few years back.. 2 preamp outs etc. Had the deck about a month or so before the internal amp crapped out on me. Took about 2 or 3 weeks to fix. Put it back in and same thing a week later. I don't abuse the deck so I don't know what was up. As far as the deck sounded. I thought it was really harsh on highes and boomy on lows. Had no midbass or midrange when running this deck.. seemed as though I only had a tweeter and a sub in the car. Layout was nice however and the deck looked clean.. Features were a bit lacking and the preamp outs had too low of a voltage. Suggestion, if you only like rap music, aren't planning on using this deck for other than factory speakers, go ahead and get it.. just pray it doesn't crap out on you.

Weaknesses:
Made me decide to never buy a JVC deck again.

Review 2 of 5

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
This Cd Deck is real cool. It has all the features that you could want including remote (which I have yet to figure out the point of using the remote. Its easier to change it by hand than find the little buttons on the remote). This is also a good system to start off on with its 2 sets of preamps. GOod Price $149.

Strengths:
Big Display Many Colors Good Bass Boost (BBE^2) So easy your granddad can figure out how to use it.

Weaknesses:
Long Time to Boot Up once engine is started. If you ever clutch out you can''t play it off because the radio takes about 4-5 Seconds to come on so everyone will know. LoL. The Remote has no practical use because of limited range. They should make a steering wheel remote like aiwa.

Review 3 of 5

Price Paid:  $200.00 from Future Shop

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2002

Summary:
I bought this stereo from Future Shop after a salesman showed it to me. So far I have no regrets about purchasing this stereo. It''s simple to use(the rotary volume and mute button are a big plus) and has a really cool display. It seems to have lots of power too for pumping out the sound. The removable/flipdown face is also a nice touch. I found the remote a bit useless, but that''s just an added bonus and isn''t even needed.

Strengths:
Good sound. Easy to install. Simple controls. Nice display.

Weaknesses:
Remote doesn''t have much range.
