Review 1 of 11

Price Paid:  $400.00 from Sound Advice

Year / Model Reviewed:
1997 DRX9375

Summary:
This is a great Stereo sound is above average due mainly to advanced features. The clock whick should be a simple function doesn't set time properly and doesn't keep time at all!

Strengths:
Audio is great and most features work well.

Weaknesses:
the clock sucks...did I say it sucks . well it does it cant keep time. My $3.00 watch keeps far superior time to this thing.

Review 4 of 11

Price Paid:  $350.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 1996 Nissan 200SX SE-R

Summary:
A very nice clean head unit if you originally had the money to throw down for it. In my opinion, it was overpriced, but I purchased this baby from a cousin of mine at an audio store for much less than retail. I've had the model for almost 3 1/2 years now. No problems at all!! Internal D/A is very clean. My only suggestion is that you purchase a really good set of interconnects for your external amp if you want to get the most out of this unit. Perhaps when I upgrade to the 9675Rz or another model that hasn't even come out yet, I'll be selling it on ebay...so stay tuned...

Strengths:
display is definitey a plus....never skipped before...even with scratched CD's on bumpy roads...

Weaknesses:
display is kind of outdated considering the new technology in current head units, but it still looks pretty slick

Review 5 of 11

Price Paid:  $150.00

Summary:
I've had the unit for 2 yrs and it's performed the way it was meant to, as a top of the line unit. Extremely clean sound, rarely ever skips and the DSP functions are nice. I got it at about half of wholesale cost because it was on clearance, so it was the deal of the century. I used to sell car audio, and I compared it to the top units from Alpine, Sony, Kenwood and Pioneer. It has the same if not better performance than any of them. If you are into nice sound for your ride and don't mind spending the money (remember you'll still need at least 1 amp), this unit is definitely one that you should consider. One more thing, you can adjust the contrast of the screen so it doesn't glow as if it were radio active.

Strengths:
Clean sound, digital out to DSP, cool screen savers, DSP functions

Weaknesses:
must have separate analog out for radio

Similar Products Used:
Sony ES
