Review 2 of 12

Price Paid:  $150.00

Summary:
i LOVE this head unit,it reads every cd clearly and almost NEVER skips, even going over railroad tracks, and my blazers shocks are shot. i would recommend this stereo to anyone looking to buy one, its looks great 24/7 and all the girls love it. the sub contol thing is great, you can turn the sub power up and down and leave the rest of the volume the same. the problem is the volume control, i would rather spin a knob then hit the button

Strengths:
multicolor display barely ever skips looks great chics dig it cd text display its own sub control

Weaknesses:
display hard to see in bright light a lot of people tried stealing it

Similar Products Used:
alpine cdm-7874, its a good head unit, but unlike mine it skips often

Kick ass cd reciever!!! I have owned several high end cd players and this is the best one. It also allows for plenty of expansion with Aux inputs and other features.

Strengths:
-Very attractive -CD Text -Multi Color Display -Remote -Plenty of Pre-Outs including dedicated Subwoofer Out -Lots of Power -Spectrum Analyzer -3D Surround effect adds Reverb and other effects

Weaknesses:
Sometimes difficult to see during the day... thats the ONLY weakness

Similar Products Used:

Review 5 of 12

Price Paid:  $220.00

Summary:
This is by far the best head unit I have had. I am on my 3rd CD player head unit and I must say that this is the best all around head unit I have ever seen. I have 4 JBL GT 6 1/2 3-ways getting powered by the head unit, 23 x 4 RMS, 45 x 4 peak, extremely clear and powerful. My sub pre-out is pushing 2 Jenses 10's and a 300W amp. The design on the face plate is amazing and it is so nice to have the separate subwoofer controls, that way you can adjust the bass and trebile and not change the settings on your sub's. It is hard to see during the day, but once you see it at night, you won't care anymore. I would definatley reccomend this to everyone looking for a great looking and sounding head unit.

Strengths:
-Color and design
-Separate sub controls
-power and clearity
-remote control
-CD text labeling
-overall feel and usability

Weaknesses:
-only hard to see during day

Similar Products Used:
-JVC KDS 670, same head unit on all same component speakers and amp and subs. the panasonic took a while to fine tune with my amp because there are so many controls you have. this is by far and away a better unit, and it supplies 6W more RMS than the JVC.

-Kenwood, the kenwood was only 35 x 4 but had nice managability and god sound. the panasonic still blows this one away, hands down.
