Price Paid:  $300.00 from ebay

Year / Model Reviewed:
2000 RFX9300

Summary:
heres the deal. when i first got this unit, it was amazing until about 3 months after i got it. after the wintertime ... when the inside of the car gets hot.. the deck will not play ANY CD ... it will actually play it, but it will be all washed out kind of scratchy sound. i can not figure out why it does this- however the disc that is inside gets very hot. the little gold contacts also broke that were connected to the mechanical part of the faceplate and now the LCD does not display anything. the buttons work well, ive had no problems with them, nor have i had any problems playing CDR-cds, or CD-RW-cds. the remote is good, and the look is amazing. do not put alot of money into buying this however. there are decks that are similar in looks, and can play MP3-CDs UNLIKE this deck.. my expierence is ... 300 MP3 songs on one cd.. five of them work. do not buy this unless you want it for how it looks.

Price Paid:  $280.00 from Crutchfield

Year / Model Reviewed:
2002 RX9300

Summary:
If you are considering buying the Rockford Fosgate RX9300, save your money and buy another unit. This unit is a severe hassle because it is ridden with problems! I'll give you a quick list of problems that I've experienced over the passed year 1. When playing an MP3 disc some tracks can't be read at all or after about 5 - 10 minutes (not an exaggeration) of the unit trying to play it, it finally does. 2. There are times when the buttons on the face will not respond at all!! 3. After only one year of use, one of the clips that keeps the detactable face on the unit broke!! (rockford fosgate was kind enough to fix it under warranty although it had expired the previous week, but I went without a stereo for 3 weeks!). 4. It plays MP3's much too slowly. Just a disclaimer. I'm not overly critical of stereos. I just wanted one that would work well and be hassle free. However, this is not a unit that lives up to that bill.

Price Paid:  $280.00 from CLUTCHFIELD

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2002

Summary:
WELL, I GOT THIS FROM THE COMPANY ABOVE AND I DONT REALLY THINK IS A GOOD CD PLAYER EVEN FROM ROCKFORD FOSGATE WHICH IS A (SUP..)GOOD BRAND IN CAR AUDIO. MY PIONNER SOUND MUCH BETTER...

Strengths:
FIST IMPRESSION OF BRAND: ROCKFORD FOSGATE, PREOUTS HELP THE SOUND A LOT, EASY TO USE, MATERIALS (MADE)

Weaknesses:
DONT READ MP3 QUICKLY AND EASY.. TAKE TOO MUCH TIME!!! FOR CDR AND W TOO... THE QUALITY EN USED CDS BURNED OR ORIGINALS IS VERY POOR. FOR EXAMPLE A ALREDY SYSTEM FROM MY HOUSE WICH IS ONLY AN AIWA SOUNDS MUCH BETTER THAN MY CAR CD PLAYER IN TERMS OF READING CDS... TOO MUCH POWER MAYBE NEEDS ANOTHER KIND OF REGULATOR OF VOLTAGE (IT BURNED MY FIRST PAIR OF 6X9 KENWOOD XEL(200 PAIR)

Similar Products Used:
PIONNER (150 BOX ) BESIDES THE SECONDS OF SKIPP IS MUCH BETTER !!! AND CHEEPER TOO
