from Frys Year / Model Reviewed: 2002 Sony CDX/L600 Summary: This was a big improvement over the stock head unit. Needed a simple, high-powered, no-frills unit with at least a 3-band EQ. With it's 7-band EQ and relatively uncluttered faceplate, this unit really fit the bill. Skips occasionally on railroad track or potholes. Strengths: Love the 7 band EQ.
Red lighting matches up with my Protege' 5 interior.
Excellent performance considering what I paid for it.
Much better bass than with stock head unit. Weaknesses: No high-pass, low pass or sub contols, Only 1 set of pre-outs with no level control
Goofy moving graphics (these can be turned off!)
Rotary volume knob is too small. Similar Products Used: Pioneer GM chassis unit
