Review 1 of 2

Price Paid:  $160.00 from India

Year / Model Reviewed:
 KEH P 7015

Summary:
Great head unit for the money. I could buy a CD changer (1270) for another $160 and I was romping home in under $350. My options were Alpine, Kenwood and Blaupunkt. But the Pioneer easily kicked ass. All the others would have cost me easily twice of what I spent and yet wouldnt have the same features of the Pioneer.

Strengths:
Lots and lots of features. The sub output was really helpful cos I have 5 amps and none of em have a line output. But with a Pioneer, I could get all the sub outputs I needed by using a line output converter because the rear speaker outs can be configured for sub frequencies.

Weaknesses:
I really dont see any reason to complain!

Review 2 of 2

Year / Model Reviewed:
 1998

Summary:
For the money you have alot of options and total control over the subwoofer preout. Comparing to another pioneer head units this is the best, but comparing to another brands like alpine or sony I think this unit sucks. The color coading of the speakers wires and power supply is no good. For example if you boght old one used without the manual you will be lost in installation because the -ve wire for each channel is not marked with black stripe (I dont have a multimeter). And if you want to connect a CD changer you have to supply it with power while other brands have the power supply coming from the head unit which is more convineant at least for me!

Strengths:
Good price for the options comparing to other brands.

Weaknesses:
Being a Pioneer product.
