Review 2 of 5

Price Paid:  $70.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 Ancient, used and abused.

Summary:
Excellent crossover. Very versatle. Can build a module for any frequency you want, unlike many crossovers that are adjustable only to certain ranges. Bravo. Audio Control customer service is excellent too. The are quick to respond, a few hours for an email response. A soldier joint came loose on mine (The thing is many, many years old, I bought it used, and it looks like it has been to hell and back more than a few times) and they offered to fix it for free without proof of purchase or anything, even though the source of the problem is obviously abuse.

Strengths:
Very clean sounding. Very well built. Can build crossover module for any frequency you want.

Weaknesses:
Crossover modules are a bit of a pain to take out if you dont have a chip puller. Those little prongs are easy to bend without the right tools, but equally easy to bend back. The little plug module for the power and ground on mine is falling apart and sometimes comes out of the socket. But with the way this thing was taken care of, I wouldnt be suprised if the plug was made of that indestructable black box stuff and still falling apart.

Nothing comes close. Period.

Review 3 of 5

Price Paid:  $40.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 4XS

Summary:
Killer 4 channel crossover

Strengths:
Awesome quality

Weaknesses:
crsoosover point filters don't coincide w/ standard resistor values in alot of cases so you have to use odball points like a 71.5K resistor makes for a crossover point of 100.6993 Hz

Similar Products Used:
Nothing is as flexible as this is

Review 5 of 5

Summary:
The 4XS is a great product, it has a nice steep 18db/octave crossovers and can be configured to a steeper 24db/octave. All the crossover points can also be reconfigured to your likings. The PFM feature which is a subsonic filter is also very very useful. Great product!!
