Review 4 of 6

Price Paid:  $229.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 CDX-P650

Summary:
It was a great unit while it worked, but I would have expected more than 2 years service from the changer.

Strengths:
It was a great changer for two years. I had absolutely no problems. It was easy to install and it's compact design created a lot of options.

Weaknesses:
At 2 years it began having "Type 40 and type 60" electrical problems( this is Pioneers designation which I don't completely understand)Thereafter I had a total breakdown where the discs would not change out and the magazine would get stuck in the changer. The cost of repair at a certified facility would have been very high. I really have no choice but to try an buy another similar unit to connect to my Pioneer head unit. I expected longer service from the changer.

Similar Products Used:
I installed a Sony unit in my wifes car and it is at 4 years without problem.
