Review 1 of 10

Price Paid:  $10580.00 from Some Dealer in LakeV

Year / Model Reviewed:
2001 Acura Integra GS/ 2 door hatchback

Summary:
this is my first car and it is a blast i've had it since march and it is now october i love this car one of the main reasons i got it is because it is so easy to tune the engine and it is just amazing all around i don't know what it will but like in the winter yet but at least it is front wheel drive all i have done to the engine so far is a short ram but it's pretty fast i remember the day i got it being disappointed with the accleration in the automatic 4 speed compared to the 5 speed manual but now i think this car is amazing and i love it i really can't say anything bad about this car exept that i wish mine was a 5 speed manual

Strengths:
-Handling
-1/4 mile 98mph around 13sec factory
-easy car to tune the engine is out for you to see all the wires and parts
-Great Interior Beautiful design
-Conponent speakers
-beautiful exterior
-brightlights for driving you can see alot more than other cars
-more trunk space than you would expect
-GOOD BRAKES
-reliable it will probbly last til 220 thousand miles or so
-sunroof/automatic everything
-fastest i've gone is around 135mph
-great sound quality
-RIMS
-good gas milage but small tank
-i love this car and i give it about a 9 out of 10

Weaknesses:
-small gas tank 10 gallons
-it is hard to shut the trunk one time it cam open while i was driving, but you get the hang of it
-no room in the back seat but i mean who cares what do you expect from a 2 door hatchback
-E-brake isn't that effcient but i don't know what it's like for other cars
-acceleration isn't that good but it makes up for it by being able to handle while going 90mph

Price Paid:  $16000.00 from Private Dealership

Year / Model Reviewed:
2001 Integra

Summary:
This is my second Integra..I leased a '97 and had to purchase my second Integra. It is so much fun to drive. It has great handling and great pick up on speed. I have the five speed version, which makes driving the car even more fun. A couple of problems that I have had is that I feel that it's a car that loves warm weather. During the winter the driver's door window will not roll down, the antenna will freeze up, sometimes the door freezes shut and it takes a long time to warm up. It doesn't do well in the snow either, not that I ever expected it to. During the summer, it's unbeatable as far as compact cars go.

Strengths:
It's a fast car, comfortable, loads of fun!!

Weaknesses:
I wish it had automatic seats and I agree with the guy who said that plastic piece in the middle of the back seat is not the best of ideas.

Similar Products Used:
1997 Integra...I test drove a Civic, Miata, Maxima, Cavalier. None of them compared.

Price Paid:  $21000.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
2001 integra gsr

Summary:
Acura makes some quality cars, I was confused as to get the jetta 1.8t or a gsr. After taking both for a test drive the integra was way more fun to drive. You can really feel the power as that engine screams. That is only with the gsr, since the gs and ls really suck so if its down between those and ls/gs or jetta go with the jetta. When it was time for me to buy my car the rsx was coming out in less than a week. Now this is how i got such a great deal on the car the dealer really wanted to unload thier last gsr. Now this car has some power and it flies once you rev it above 3000 rpms. AND I CANT STRESS THIS ENOUGH IT IS ONLY FUN WITH A MANUEL. With an automatic transmission one cannot take full advantage of the vtec engine, the car shifts gears way too soon. now this car does have its faults which i will list below. But overall who wouldnt want a car like this with the strong name of honda backing it up. My uncle had a civic back in the 80s and easily put over 100k on it without any major problems. I love this car and im looking to put some serious mileage upon it. Im already up to 8000 miles and im looking forward to put as many miles on it as possible

Strengths:
Fast, Reliable, Acura/Honda quality (100% made in japan), manuel transmission, style, 170 hp@7600 rpms WAY FUN TO DRIVE IN ANY CONDITION

Weaknesses:
You can hear alot of road noise, stock tires suck (as soon as i get some extra cash im getting new rims), stock system sucks i put in alpine

Similar Products Used:
Nissan sentra which was a terrible car

Price Paid:  $25000.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
2001 Integra Type R

Summary:
The Type R version of the Integra is absolutely amazing. Honda''s main goal was to make a car that could be taken off the lot and driven straight to the track. They did the job well, handling, braking, acceleration, I''ve never been in a more well rounded car. And well rounded is the perfect way to describe the Type R''s performance characteristics. It''s not the fastest car in a straight line, it''s not going to pull more lateral G''s than every car out there, but the driving experience is simply exhilirating. This car is NOT simply a rebadged Integra with a bigger motor, too many improvements to list here...

Strengths:
Excellent handling, braking, acceleration, sounds of the engine are amazing. The aftermarket support for this platform is enormous. Touted as the best handling FWD car produced by many.

Weaknesses:
Might be a little to loud or bumpy for some, but if these things bother you, you shouldn''t be driving a Type R.

Nothing comes close.

Price Paid:  $22000.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
2001 GS-R

Summary:
Car is fun to drive. Very powerful and doesn't mind being run hard. Not as high quality as I expected from an Acura. Very nice looking and cleans up nice. Eye catcher.

Strengths:
Quick and responsive;fun to drive; good brakes; engine has a beautiful sound when it hits the CTEC at 5800RPM. Shifts quickly and smoothly

Weaknesses:
Rattles; had to get a new ignition system, O2 Sensor and Catalytic converter when it had only 3000 miles on it; radio blows (sounds like a loud clock radio); steering wheel mounted too low (its down between your legs); steering wheel keeps squeeking; hood bends and flexes very easily

Similar Products Used:
2001 Mustang GT--(Much quicker but doesn't have the looks); 1999 Prelude--(Better all around-Faster; roomier; more solid and better stereo, but pricey)
