Price Paid:  $5500.00 from Jerry's

Year / Model Reviewed:
2005 Cavalier LS Coupe

Summary:
I LOVE MY CAR! It's a really sporty looking car for a low price, and it gets great gas mileage. It's also VERY fast for a 4-cylinder, and easy to get around in. The interior shows true GM craftsmanship, and- as strange as it may sound- smells really good. Oh yeah, and the sound system ROCKS!!! If Chevy hadn't quit making these cars, I would drive one till the day I died.

Strengths:
Good looks, speed, gas mileage, value for the money, sound system, cool interior, cool dome light (it fades when it goes out, instead of just going out all at once), smells really good even without an air freshener.

Weaknesses:
Temp. gauge and Tachometer have some serious issues.

'93 Pontiac Grand Am (It was my Aunt's, and it smelled the same way inside. I think it's a GM thing.)

Price Paid:  $12500.00 from Friendly Chevrolet

Year / Model Reviewed:
2005 Cavalier - &

Summary:
I purchased a 1998 Cavalier in October of 1997, and had no major problems with it in the 7+ years I had it. It's a great little car, and with the K&N filter, CD player, rims, spoiler, and sunroof I ended up putting on, it looked pretty sporty, too! In fact, I liked my Cavalier so much that I just purchased a new 2005 one. I always said that when I was going to buy another new car that I would get something nicer than a cavalier, but I had a hard time even looking at anything else. I have friends with more expensive cars that have had a lot of problems, and I've had such great luck with cavaliers that I decided to stick with them. Now I have a 2005 cavalier LS sports coupe with power everything. In the 2+ months I've had it - I love it! Absolutely no problems, and it's fun to drive. I just wish it wasn't winter so I could keep it looking nice and ride with the moonroof open!

Strengths:
Great car for the price, no major problems the 7 years I drove it.

Weaknesses:
Some of the parts were pretty cheaply made. My seat belt adjustment and the tilt lever for the chair eventually broke, but what do you expect - it IS a cavalier! :-)
