Review 1 of 176

Price Paid:  $15000.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
1998 Tsi AWD

Summary:
Interesting that the Talon is rated lower that the Eclipse and Laser (they're identical in all respects). I got a good deal on my 2 generation Talon. It costs less for a Talon than for the same Mitsubishi Eclipse, probably due to Eagle going out of business. My wife drives a non-turbo 92 Eclipse and I can assure you it doesn't compare to the 2G turbo AWD. I'm 6'2" and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone taller. The seats seem a little hard. The engine is surprisingly strong for a 4 cyl. There is turbo lag but it can be dealt with by shifting and running up the motor. It handles very agilely on winding mountain roads. I have 29000 miles on mine and have experienced no mechanical problems. If you can find one, I would recommend this car to anyone looking for an inexpensive strong running sports car.

Strengths:
Handling. Turbo power. Looks.

Weaknesses:
Hard seat. Turbo lag.

Review 2 of 176

Price Paid:  $10000.00 from South Park Mitsubish

Summary:
I''ve driven this car over six thousand miles already and have not had one complaint. It runs execelent and is great on gas mileage. Alot of people like the style and compliment me on it. It''s nice to look out of your window and see people stairing at your car. The seats are comfortable, but not alot of space for those people with long legs like myself. I have to squeeze throught the steering wheel when I want to get out and I''m only 6". So all of you taller people would not like the seating inside of the car. So you''ll just have to admire the outside of it. Also the engine idles kinda loud. Or maybe I have a probalem already. I''ll find out sooner or later.

Strengths:
Ambitious styling, up-holding engine, and smooth shifting transmission. Good engine power.

Weaknesses:
Too stiff of a suspension (I guess for thoughs sharp curves and hair pin turns.) Noisy engine (when idling)

Similar Products Used:
1994 Mitsubishi Eclipse.

Price Paid:  $17000.00 from Nissan dealership

Year / Model Reviewed:
1998 Eagle Talon

Summary:
I Love this car!!! It looks soo good and ridez so good. Its a 5spd but the bad thing is that it doesnt have turbo. To convert it its a lot of money. I love driving fast and I really want more horespower cuase 160hp aint doing nothing for me. I had to get the waterpump, timebelt, and main a/c belt but i mean thats all part of the maintenance and for a while i dont have to change it. I want to custom pain it to pearl blue. Right now its red with black top. I Love this car and I would never sell it back!!!

Strengths:
Looks really good, turbo is fast. Doesnt need a lot of things to soupe it up.

Weaknesses:
Back seats.... sooo small.......

Review 5 of 176

Price Paid:  $4500.00 from private party

Summary:
This is by far t he greatest car that I have ever driven. My first car was a '94 Talon, but that got totaled(not my fault) after 2 weeks of owning the car. Then i got a '92 maxima, raped that for a few months and now i have this toy. It's nice, fast, loud, quick, and very very fun to drive. Best bang-for-your-buck car in the world

Strengths:
Very very fun to drive and even more fun just to look at and drool over. The car may look small, but the legroom is more then plenty making you sit in and fall asleep. The steering wheel is very smooth as well as the shifter. Awsome gas milage.

Weaknesses:
Kind of hard to find parts for, clutch is very deep(thats fine for me but others complain about it). looking over your left shoulder for changing lanes becomes wierd sometimes due to the plastic seperating ur window from the rear passengers window
