Review 1 of 3

Price Paid:  $16900.00

Summary:
It's a 98 Odyssey, great vehicle. Aside from typical brake repairs and tires, vehicle has been reliable. Over 103,000 miles and driven for over 3 years. Probably average $600 a year in maint, repairs, consumables. Wish they still had this size available as a mini-van. Average 22.5 mpg throughout the year, worst was 18 (very cold weather, stop&go), best was 30 (in Arizona). Highway is 25+mpg typically.

Strengths:
Comfortable, reliable, can drive all day making it great for travel. Mileage, solid construction-no rattles, higher than average resale when selling.

Weaknesses:
Brake system higher than average maintenance costs, higher than average resale when buying.

Review 2 of 3

Price Paid:  $21000.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
1997 Isuzu Oasis LS

Summary:
Found this baby listed at $27,000 - bought it for $21,000 as it was last one on dealer's lot, and Isuzu wasn't going to sell them anymore. Honda built with better Isuzu options and warranty. What a steal! Strong engine carries us easily across the mountains of the western U.S. Comfortable interior, rear air keeps back passengers comfy. Great CD sound, we love the rear seat that folds flat into the floor. Have alloys, tinted windows, sun roof and pinstripes - as cool as a minivan can be. Quiet, triple-sealed doors and windows keep heat, cold and noise out. We love this van.
ABS kept us from hitting a jaywalker on a cold dark night. It is comfy, smooth, quiet, quick, and sure-footed in snow. And best of all, it is NOT frumpy and common like AstroVans, Caravans, and Windstars. Was 27 when we bought it and figured if we were buying a minivan at 27, then by golly, it was gonna be something.

Strengths:
Car-like doors, incredible comfortable inside, wonderful suspension, strong engine, flat-folding rear seat, Honda quality.

Weaknesses:
Auto trans a little spastic when downshifting

Review 3 of 3

Price Paid:  $23000.00 from Isuzu dealer in Doth

Year / Model Reviewed:
1997 Isuzu Oasis

Summary:
Not many of these babies around. The twin to the honda odyssey. This was the most dependable car I have ever owned (owned about 23 cars during my driving years). This van was perfect inside and out! Had to trade it in on a larger van with larger engine to handle the higher driving speeds on the Autobahn in Germany. I wish I had it back.

Strengths:
Great build quality fold down rear seat

Weaknesses:
engine noise at high speeds.
