Was Sienna built for you or for your kids? Our engineers studied families and their kids so we could design a minivan to meet their specific needs. Obviously, the available cartoon-playing rear-seat DVD entertainment system gets every kid's okay. But the available JBL Synthesis® 10-speaker audio system plus touch-screen DVD navigation system [2] with backup camera [3] is a grown-up thing. To stay young at heart, the Sienna also comes complete with Bluetooth® capabilities and satellite radio [4]. With so many good things inside, we understand your desire for longer rides. And a new 3.5-liter engine will enhance your performance without sacrificing your MPG to make your ride just as long as you want it. And who benefits from standard three-row side curtain airbags, side-impact door beams and 3-point seatbelts in all seating positions? Clearly, the 2007 Toyota Sienna was built for the whole family.
New for 2007
The 2007 Toyota Sienna receives a more powerful engine, new aluminum alloy wheel design on AWD versions and a standard tire-pressure-monitoring system. The new 266-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 replaces the previous 215-horsepower 3.3-liter V6 engine and produces 245 lb-ft of torque at 4700 rpm.
Tires: We had to replace the tires at 30,000 miles and then the replace at 60,000 miles, tire store manager said the tire size was not designed right for the van.
I needed to replace the air conditioner at my cost. Out of warranty.
The radiator went bad, Toyota paid for that.
Now the fun part, all of the door mechanisms needed to be replaced, Toyota paid for the front door because it was safety concern. But the side doord they said they would only cover half out of "good will", they must not care about kids as much as adults. I am was only half happy. This cost me $3000.
I would venture to guess I paid close to $6000 in extra repairs for this van since it was purchased new in 2004. Not an easy pill to swallow considering the gas price increases within the last year.
I never will purchase another Toyota.
Strengths: Styling and drive
Weaknesses: Quality, Quality, Quality

Summary: Sienna doesn't have the Corolla's quality especialy the body. I bought car because I have a fantastic experience of my Corolla. But Sienna has very bad body qulaity. It lists from front doors screw loose, gas cap leak (didn't pass the fist inspection)and sprare tire fixture failure (cost $250). The powertrain is great except gave me many Check Engine lites. Last week I brought back to dealear because of the Check Engine Porblem. They told me the car nedd ECM and CAT. It costs $2100! (I fixed it with cleaning mass flow sensor and reset ECM)
Strengths: Reilable powertrain
Weaknesses: Poor body quality

Summary: I purchased the 2004 Sienna in May of 2003. Many problems with back seat, seat belt, brought in several times finally after 4 times was fixed, but needed a manager to get it done correctly. Living in New England the back slider doors freeze in snow, rain and cold weather, you can imagine how hard it is to get children in or out. After 4 or 5 times brought in it is still not corrected, safety issue. I even called Toyota and still not resolved. If you can't get them in correctly how would get them out in an emergency?
My car is now at Toyota getting a new motor on the back automatic slider door, already been there 4 days and part still is not in, good thing I bought extended warranty or I would be dishing out over $1000. Many recalls including a new gas tank.
I like the ride but Toyota needs to step up to the plate and get things fixed when vehicles are brought in.
Strengths: roomy, nice ride
Weaknesses: slider doors

Summary: This is my 4th Toyota - the others being one Corolla and 2 4-Runners. It is a little aggressive on gas and does not have the Toyota reliability that I was used to. The little things go wonky on it like broken door handles, Y-connector on exhaust (3 times), radio, rear door, rear side windows, power steering - the list of little $350-$500 things goes on forever. The others were 1990 4-Runner, 1997 4-Runner and 1991 Corolla - all they ever needed were brakes and timing belts. If you are a regular Toyota owner and buy a Sienna you will be let down by the reliability.
Strengths: Rides nice, handles nice, and it is good on snow and ice if quipped with the right tires.
Weaknesses: Does not live up to expectations as far as Toyota reliability goes. Not good on gas. Lots of annoying little problems - nothing major however.

Summary: Do not buy this car unless you feel bad for me and want to end my misery with it. We bought it used a little over a year ago with 25,000 miles on it since then we have replaced the transmission, tie rod, ball joint, breaks, roaters...much more. This car is evil.
Strengths: Nice leather interior
Weaknesses: Everything else
