Price Paid:  $500.00 from wduncan technologys

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2003

Summary:
recently we discover memphis car audio a 16-st1000d,when we seen this amp,we when crazy, not know what it was able to do,we opened it up to see how it ticked, awesome.we decided after seeing this amp. to check out the rest of there products, boy were we surpized, memphis car audio is one of the best products we have ever seen.we have delt with phoenix, rockford, alpine, clarion, sony and pioneer.memphis is by far the coolest product we have ever had, check it out. just a small exp.we have a customer that was run an alpine mrd500,with 4 12"s we convicned he to try an pr1kd memphis amp.to keep it short we now have two alpine mono blocks 4 sale on consignment,he easily double his power for half the money, and when he told his buddy, with the same amp,and showed him what it can do, we were installing another pr1kd with one hour in his car,

Strengths:
one ohm stable, huge power for the price.3 yr warranty in canada.life time on the speaker if installed by a memphis dealer

Weaknesses:
you car must have a good power supply to run this at one ohm.and make it whale

Similar Products Used:
nothing can compare for the price and the warranty

Review 2 of 4

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
after repeated trouble with a bridged sony es 4574, i replaced it with an adcom, the sony was an awesome amp but shut down alot in the high current mode for various reasons. the adcom, forget it im putting it in my wifes car. the mmatts is incredible!it hits hard and is capable of stupid (clean) volume, the reliability of my mmatts d100, driving 2 12" mmatts pro series drivers was a deciding factor in trying the lm series.theyre pushing a set of image dynamics 8"s with matching ID horns, and they pound!! the midbass is incredible and it never distorts, half volume at half gain will give you a hangover effect, yet sound excellent. not bad for a company who got its start as a control unit company dominating the laundromat industry.

Strengths:
great power, hard hitting, runs very cool and never has to work hard for real sound reproduction levels

Weaknesses:
power is a little revealing on poor recordings, needs external crossover to really shine but worth it. you get what you pay for.

Similar Products Used:
sony es, adcom,sony, macintosh.

Review 4 of 4

Price Paid:  $225.00

Summary:
Sexy and stunning!! This amp has stunning quality. It is the same heatsink as the infamous class D amps by MMats. This amp has the same output transistors as the very expensive and perfect monolithic sound amps. I have this one running right along side with my monolithic model. Keeps up well. Puts out gobs more power than rated. 125x2 4 ohms rated. at 14.4 volts mine does 217x2. Mono 2 ohms it does 800 watts RMS!!! Price is a bit higher than would like but it is still great. Excellent Amp!

Strengths:
Awsome sound quality!! People wouldn't expect it but it is one of best I have ever heard. Adjustments are simple. Power and speaker connections are easy to work with. You can even directly solder them onto the board if you want. Nice black glossy heatsink. My list goes on and on.

Weaknesses:
Nothing big. Need extended drill bit or use screwdriver to mout so you don't scuff up sides.

Similar Products Used:
Fosgates best, Phoenix gold titaniums, Mcintosh, Xtant, Zapco.
