Price Paid:  $53000.00 from Pacific BMW

Year / Model Reviewed:
2007 X5 3..0SI

Summary:
So far so good about 11months. I'm long commuter with HWY and estimate MPG around 20~21. (DS shift with some funs came out around 17 but it was worth to fun drive. lol) Voice recognition delivered wrong function sometime but keep trying for hand free.

Strengths:
Handling, power improved than last version.
Good MPG. Excellent Braking. MP3 can play on CD. Backup Camera is useful than last version.

Weaknesses:
3rd row seat is crappy. If you are looking for 7 passenger seat, don't even think about it. 11yrs my son even can't sit.(I think good for just 5) Basic sound system is pathetic.

Review 3 of 141

Price Paid:  $57000.00 from motorwerks bmw minne

Year / Model Reviewed:
2007 bmw x5

Summary:
Broken down before the first oil change! 3,000 miles and in the shop for days - due to the notoriously bad i-drive system's on-going failures. I'm going to look to dump the car after 11 months - the biggest disappointment of a car I've owned.

Strengths:
good looks

Weaknesses:
unreliable, a computer controls everything and software meltdowns shut the car down completely. only buy this car as an extra ride b/c you will need a back-up. And when it does meltdown, you cant do little things like put it in nuetral, remove the key, etc. Just for fun, the "roadside assistance is AAA so get ready to sit in a dead car for hours.

Review 5 of 141

Price Paid:  $50000.00 from Motorwerks-Minneapol

Year / Model Reviewed:
2004 X5

Summary:
I do have to start by saying that I love the X5, the salesman, Scott Thompson at Motorwerks BMW was fantastic. Other than a few minor things I have had great luck with the car. The only problem I have encountered is the service. I relocate a lot with my job and I bought the X5 because of the warranty and the fact that you could have the car serviced at ANY dealership nationwide. I have always had good service EXCEPT while I was living in Rhode Island. DO NOT EVER TAKE YOUR CAR TO INSKIP in Warwick!! I had my oil changed at this dealership and the technician over tightened the screw to the oil pan and BROKE off the bolt head. I had no idea because it was not disclosed at the time of service. I have since moved to Washington state and upon getting my oil changed again the technician found this horrific problem. All in all I am stuck with a broken oil pan due to a technician error and I have to pay for the damages!!! I have spoke to BMW North America and they wanted NOTHING to do with me or my issue, EVEN though it was trained BMW technician that caused the problem-I am stuck with paying to fix it because it was not a manufacturer defect. BE WARE OF SERVICE AT INSKIP-WARWICK!!!!!!

Strengths:
Nice Looking car, great driving experience and roomy.

Weaknesses:
The only weakness was SERVICE AT INSKIP-WARWICK,RI -BEWARE THEY WILL BRAKE IT AND MAKE YOU FIX IT!!!!
