Review 1 of 135

Price Paid:  $13000.00 from NJ

Year / Model Reviewed:
2007 PT Cruiser

Summary:
Disappointing gas mileage for a small car - 23 mpg at best. We do a mix of city & highway driving. We have around 21,000 miles on the car and brakes are showing early wear & tear. Rotors, pads. Not good.

Strengths:
The car is roomy, with great cargo space.

Weaknesses:
Gas mileage - terrible! 23 mpg at best.

Review 2 of 135

Price Paid:  $10000.00 from Matthews Automotive

Year / Model Reviewed:
2007 PT Cruiser

Summary:
I really love this car. It's comfortable, easy to get in and out of, good stereo system. I like the big windshield because it gives me good visibility. I had no trouble fitting a car seat for a 2 year old in the back seat. Plenty of leg room in the front seats. I think this was a very good investment.

Strengths:
It rides smooth. It is quiet inside when you are driving. Easy to get in small parking spots. Decent pickup when you accelorate. Decent stereo system. You can carry a LOT of things in this vehicle.

Weaknesses:
Floor heat doesn't blow very strong. Only gets 22 miles to the gallon.

Price Paid:  $13000.00 from Enterprise Used Cars

Year / Model Reviewed:
2003 PT CCHRYSLERRUISER

Summary:
I bought this Pt Cruiser in Kansas City about 3 years ago. There have been some problems but in emergency severe weather situations this car has been awesome. I had to replace the ignition but other than that it has been cool.

Strengths:
Love the handling, and it can take wind storms real well.

Weaknesses:
Ignition replacement

Review 4 of 135

Price Paid:  $22000.00 from Winnipeg

Year / Model Reviewed:
2002 PT Crusier

Summary:
I'm really disappointed in the PT Cruiser. I've had it 4 years and purchased it when it had only 18,000 km. I'm very easy on my car, It's lady driven... At 50,000 km I needed new brakes and rotors! Now at 75,000 I need new struts, bushings all around... I'm amazed and so are people I talk too. I'm not thrilled about the maintence with so little km's on it.....

Strengths:
alot of cargo space

Weaknesses:
cheap parts from factory!

Review 5 of 135

Price Paid:  $11200.00 from Orange Coast Chrysle

Year / Model Reviewed:
2006 Base A/t Wagon

Summary:
A very good car for the price I paid. I have the base model with auto-trans, A/C, keyless entry, CD stereo (with Sirius satellite radio). Not powerful, but smoooth riding and pretty quiet. I needed a second car because I have 2 sons and my Miata only carries 2 people. From what I have read, the long term quality of the PT Cruiser is pretty good, so I expect to hold onto it for a number of years.

Strengths:
Good visibility and headroom (I'm 6" 2'). The styling is still cool. Not as boring as the Altima that I replaced. Excellent value.

Weaknesses:
Pretty poor gas mileage (about 20-22 mpg). A bit underpowered. Could use a 5 or 6 speed auto trans.

Similar Products Used:
Jeep Liberty (also excellent and highly recommended!)
