Review 1 of 3

Price Paid:  $140.00 from e-bay

Summary:
one of the best amps ive ever owned, i love the power and speaker connectors makes for a super clean install. this amp is way underrated and put out over 720 watts rms on the bench. i have it running my orion hcca 10d and the sub measured 7db more then when i was running it off my alpine mrv1507

Strengths:
lots of power, excellent crossovers, power connections, sound quality.

Weaknesses:
can be a little tricky to set up if you dont know what your doing. if your life revolves around rockford, dont buy this amp. it just shows rockford they make better boat ancors then car audio

Similar Products Used:
rockford (sucks), alpine (overrated), clarion (alright for the price i payed), infinity (hhhmmmm), hifonics (overpriced). and last sony (not bad if you want a stereo that doesnt work)

Review 2 of 3

Price Paid:  $260.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2000

Summary:
found my orion amp off ebay for $260. i was initially looking for a rockford 500a2, but i'm glad i went with the xtr. i have the amp running 2 xtr12d's in a sealed enclosure and it is very loud. orion defintely lives up to its name. i think most retailers sell the xtr for around $400. i wouldn't pay that much for it tho. look on ebay where you can probably find it under 300. the value rating was at the price i paid for the amp.

Strengths:
nice clean power
great looking amp
intelli-q and crossover features

Weaknesses:
mounting is a little weird, uses mounting rails
setup maybe a little complicated for beginners

Similar Products Used:
rockford 600a4. the orion has much cleaner power and doesn't get nearly as hot as the rockford.

I would recommend it to anyone with the need for bass.
You realy get what you pay for with these amps.

Strengths:
gives new meaning to RMS.This thing pumps. The new line of amps also look amazing.Thay also have alot of features, including the intel-Q, graet for fine tunning.

Weaknesses:
Too many options, setting it up.

Similar Products Used:
