from Pawn Shop Year / Model Reviewed: 1999? Summary: Adequate radar detector with a few added features like SWS.
Performance good for a middleweight, adequate for use in the city, or as a second detector when a running mate can be found that doesn''t interfere with the Cobra and vice versa.
Haven''t observed this unit''s performance against "Gatso", photo radar, Ka-band units, or laser. In-town threats are mostly K-band.
Purchased secondhand with power cord but without mounts or owner''s manual. Strengths: Flexible display (dark, mute)
Clear LED band indicators and S-meter
Simplicity of design and operation
Simple windshield mounting can be fitted to other manufacturers'' windshield mounts in a pinch Weaknesses: Rapid test cycle makes it difficult to learn to distinguish various audio alerts
Warning LED''s or a light could be larger.
Audio level adequate for quiet sedans, less so for sports, SUV, or older vehicles Similar Products Used: Valentine 1
