Review 2 of 7

Price Paid:  $30000.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
2007 CXL AWD

Summary:
Chose the Rainier over similar mid sized models (Envoy, Explorer, 4Runner, etc) because of the superior ride, quietness and car feel in an SUV. Price for value was excellent. Outstanding standard options.

Strengths:
Feel and quietness of ride. Inline six cylinder. Advantages of an SUV with the ride, feel and features found in higher end sedan.

Weaknesses:
None yet.

Review 3 of 7

Price Paid:  $20000.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
2005 SUV

Summary:
Bottomline: Best deal for a used SUV. Bought this 2005 in Dec. 06 with 17000 miles for about 50% less than orig. sticker. Loaded with every option; a real pleasure to drive,

Strengths:
Quiet, luxury ride, very strong V8, lots of features from navi to AWD to power everything including a nifty built in air compressor. Very handsome lines.

Weaknesses:
You can't buy an SUV with a V8 and complain about MPG, but that is my only complaint.

Review 4 of 7

Price Paid:  $20000.00 from Lindsay

Year / Model Reviewed:
2006 Buick Ranier

Summary:
Wonderful vehicle. The best looking, best performing SUV on the market. The Rainier has 12000 miles on it and has no problems. Lots of power and good mileage, about 18 city and 22 highway. Very good for a 6 cylinder with a 3.73 rear end and a 4600 lb. weight. Very smooth ride and very quiet. It handles extremely well and a long day of driving leaves me not tired at all.
I chose this vehicle over Trailblazer and Envoy because of the air ride suspension in the rear over the coil springs.
It is such a shame it will not be made after the 2007 model year. Dodge, Ford and the cheap imports do not compare to this vehicle

Strengths:
Ride, comfort, power, gas mileage, features, looks, handling, performance and made by GM

Weaknesses:
None

Similar Products Used:
Trailblazer, Envoy

Review 5 of 7

Price Paid:  $0.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
2004 Rainier AWD plus

Summary:
Nothing but problems with the Rainier. Which include headlights going dim or off while driving at night, AWD not working properly, Grinding sounds in front wheels while making turns, It stops running while at red lights or when backing up. Molding coming off. Engine surging and missing. Of course, the dealership says there's nothing wrong with it. Check out the NHTSA office of defects investigation before buying the Buick Rainier
