Review 1 of 4

Price Paid:  $130.00 from Halfords

Year / Model Reviewed:
 pioneer TS E6995

Summary:
I purchased these beauties as a replacement for my loud, but harsh, JBL's. I still have my existing factory head unit which 'pumps' out a meagre 4x20 watts. I was looking for 6x9's with a strong and deep bass as I dont have room for a subwoofer in my 206. I have only had these speakers for a week and the difference is incredible. Basslines have appeared from nowhere and vocals now have clarity as opposed to harsh 'spitting'. The soundstaging is also very good and it does'nt feel as if you dont have any front speakers. £130 is a lot to pay for 6x9's but they have transformed my sound system from ice cream van to dance club!

Strengths:
Bass that goes low and splash free highs. True Hi-Fi even when partnered with a mediocre head unit (Clarion)

Weaknesses:
Not in the slightest bit stretched without an amplifier.

Review 2 of 4

Price Paid:  $100.00 from Ebay

Year / Model Reviewed:
 ts-e6995

Summary:
Excellent sound quality with a flat response curve. You hear all of the music with these speakers. Titanium Midrange gives clear sound on acoustic music. Drives well with 20 Watts RMS (40 Watt / channel head unit)

Strengths:
Flat and even response. The problem with most speakers is uneven response requiring EQ to balance the sound, particlarly for acoustic music. Very Precise sound characteristics. Will blow most 6x9's on the market away.

Weaknesses:
Lacking in warmth. Like comparing modern amps to older style tube amps, these speakers sound great, but they don't sound 'warm'.

Review 4 of 4

Price Paid:  $130.00 from ebay

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2001-2002

Summary:
I have listened to many different 6x9''s in my day, but these far surpass anything I have ever heard. When powered right, these speakers will blow you right out of the water. If you find a good deal on them, it''ll be the wisest purchace you can make to upgrade your sound system!!

Strengths:
Increadably high power handling.

Weaknesses:
Increadably high power handling. Yes, I put this twice. If they are running off a deck, they sound good. If running off an amp (yes, to get these I would recommend an amp, which means even more money) these speakers are breathtaking!!
