Summary:
I drive a 1988 GMC C1500, and decided to revise things a bit when my factory radio failed. I made a very modest conversion to a pioneer KEH-3700 and Pioneer's cheapest coaxial 4X6, a combination which I used with limited pleasure for several months. Pleased with the 3700's available RCA input, which I used to create a direct connection to my portable CD player, and its 17 Watt RMS output, I directed my finances toward new speakers. I found the 4622cfp at Circuit City, and was pleased to note that there was a "buy-one-get-50%-off-a-second-pair" deal available on Infinity products. My co-ax Pioneers had produced virtually no bass, and I was delighted by the punchy sound of the Infinitys. I'm not a big bass nut, but others would probably be disappointed without the addition of a sub or large midrange. Most impressive was the treble output. "Sparkling" is probably the most accurate description of the effect. Two 4622s in the dash and two in the roof supports fill the cabin with clean, loud, distortion-free sound. This is a fine speaker, and for $75/pair was, I believe, an exceptional buy.

Strengths:
Very crisp highs and punchy midrange

Weaknesses:
Limited bass from 4" midrange
