Price Paid:
$0.00 Year / Model Reviewed: CD-T HD62DT Summary: What can I say... great sounding speakers! Very accurate, smooth, clear. But they prefere a high power rated amp,at least 2x75W.They will sound more precise.
I powered them with a Becker Energy 400.
A Limited Edition rated 4x100W playing active on my Pioneer DEX-P9 and DEQ-P9.
Awesome how the CD-T's sound! A very good amp make's a huge difference. They can handle Mmmore power(but I just LOVE my Beckers). It will bring the CD-T's come to life.I also heart them on a Audison VRX, WOW! I even build a home speaker with them.Just for testing in a simple sealed enclosure of 12 liter ,hooked on a Pathos TT,tube amp.I could not believe what I heard. Maria Carey was standing in my room!!In the car they are easy to install for a great sound but damping your doors and a proper tweeter mounting is a must(as with any speaker) for SQ compitition sound.I had a lot of fun with the CD-T's HD-62DT's.Now it's time for something else.Got money to spend. I have listened to the CD-T Eurosports.Never knew a caraudio speaker can sound so good!Pricy, but well worth the money.More detail, better mids,BIGger X-over(well,don't need them).I want to check out those Diamond HEX and do the Pepsi test.I want to create a 3-way set with 2 6.5" kickbass,4" mid and tweet, hooked on a 2nd Becker Energy 400.
I wonder....?!!...(Heaven) Strengths: Good price/Quality ratio.
Detailed, clear. Weaknesses: Lack of bass Similar Products Used: Dynaudio(like them)
MB Quart Q(less)
Boston Pro(nope)
