2004 Mazda/RX-8

Summary:
Wow!!! From the time these speakers arrive you can tell it is not an ordinary speaker. The wood box it comes gives that away. Then looking at the size build quality of the woofer and tweeter gives only further indication. I am running a JL Audio 450/4 power amplifier for my components (300 watts of that is going to the D9's). The mid-bass response is out of this world. The tweeters can be a little strong depending on your taste but with the a little/a lot of tuning you can find ur desired level. These speakers crave power so if you think your using a headunit or some crappy amp to power these, think again. Also invest in some sound dampening. These will have your doors shaking and rattling without. I have a small car and did not want my primary components to get overpower by my sub (JL Audio 10W7) and they arn't. For my tastes it was a match made in heaven.

Strengths:
POWER HANDLING
MIDBASS RESPONSE
SOUND QUALITY

Weaknesses:
SIZE (Abnormally large woofer and tweeter)
Installation
