Review 1 of 3

Price Paid:  $200.00 from Sound Gallery

Year / Model Reviewed:
 1999

Summary:
Total Blam! I wanted some 6x9's for my car to begin the conversion to a SQ machine. Sitting right next to the 6x9's looking beautiful were the 7x10 DLS Reference Coaxial. Not too cheap (considering other brands) But they are worth every penny and more (£200 UK). Totally blow away anyone elses speakers and sound quality is incredible at all volumes. Run off a 25w amp the sensitivity takes it and pushes these speakers hard. Yummy yum!

Strengths:
Everything, price, SQ, volume, sensitivity.

Weaknesses:
Although they apparently take up as much space as 6x9's they may require a little more room.

Similar Products Used:
DLS, Soundstream, JL Audio, Diamon, Sony, Rockford Fosgate, Boston, JBL

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2000

Summary:
I've paid fl. 349,- it's a bit expensive but very valuable!

Strengths:
I have a pioneer DEH-P4100R head unit and the DLS-960 speakers. Great sound! Very low bass, good mid-tones and the high-tones are also very clear. I think this is the best you can get in this class.

Weaknesses:
I haven't seen any weaknesses yet!

Review 3 of 3

Summary:
I have these fantastic 6x9 speakers installed in the back of my VW GOLF since May '98 ,using as a source Alpine TDA-7562R cassette receiver. When I say "fantastic" I mean:tight and deep BASS,clear and crisp
treble and neutral well-defined mid-frequencies.You have top performance
either u like house music or you r Pavaroti's fan.
SOME SPECS: 5-80 Wrms, 35Hz-20Khz,93db sensitivity,83mm installation depth.
The DLS 960's play very good with a good head unit and best with a
good amp. They are a little expensive(140-160$) but THEY WORTH IT!!!
