Review 5 of 5 Year / Model Reviewed: 2000 Summary: First, let me say these speakers have nice low-end extension. Punchy and tight. Not recommended without amplification of at least 25 watts/channel. Secondly, they are a little bright on some tracks . . . ie Radio Head and other well recorded audio tracks. They are very nice with jazz and classical. However, with some EQ this should not be a problem and is not a detraction. When was the last time you had to turn the top-end frequency DOWN! The microdynamics of the tweeter is exceptional and I've not heard better other that High end home stuff or the Focal tweeters. THe woofer is almost the same as on the components with the same frequency character and responce. Tight, not very refined (Germans) and overall a very good coaxil. Would highly recommend. They seemed a little more defined than te JL', Infinity, and Bostons. You would have to spend arond $200 more than the 250 I paid to get etter sounding speakers. Strengths: Nice extension, puncy mid-bass, clean vocals and instramentals. Weaknesses: Need a lot of power to sound great. Imaging is not the greatest but they are in a car;) Similar Products Used: Infinity, Boston, Polk, Focal, JL Audio
