Price Paid:  $820.00 from direct for supplier

Year / Model Reviewed:
 Audiobahn 1500

Summary:
I currently have 6 Audiobahn 1500's in my van with 3 audiobahn 2200hc's. They take alot of juice but as of right now the 6 of them are doing about 163dbs... I do compete in dbdrag. I am very impressed with the spl capability of the speakers if they are powered right and in the right box. Of course, I have the box vented. I dont suggest going this big in design tho, between the cost of upgrading my power supply ($2000), and my total cost for amps and woofers ($3000), and the dammage my car has encountered due to the woofers, its not worth it. 2 is pleanty for the average joe. My car has literally rattled apart, my windshield seal has been replaced twice, and my back hatch has no interior left on it. But they give an amazing bang for the cost.

Strengths:
Huge spl possibilities

Weaknesses:
durability

Similar Products Used:
all audiobahn woofers.... best pick for new comers is the audiobahn 1251x... 2 of those are capable of duing 143 dbs for a price around $175 for the pair

Review 3 of 8

Price Paid:  $130.00 from the zeb

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2001 aw1500

Summary:
I have 2 15''s in my Ford Ranger Extended cab, with the 2200hc amp (1600 watts). Freakin pounds, i dont even have the bass high at all. If you just wont loud bass, get audiobahn, its a waste to get expensive sht just because lombards, or car stereo shops tell you to buy them. You will pay $450 for the jlw6 15, and audiobahns aw1500 (for $130) will be louder.Audiobahn kicks butt

Strengths:
Loud as hell for the price you pay. Small box.

Weaknesses:
none

Similar Products Used:
jl audio sucks, mtx sucks, jbl sucks, cerwin vega sucks

Review 4 of 8

Price Paid:  $175.00

Summary:
POUNDS!!! I have never experianced anything as loud as these. After i stepped out my car i couldn't hear a thing, cause my ears were ringing so badly. I used to use 2 sq solobarics, which i quickly threw away after i bought these.

Strengths:
The DVC is impressive. Can easily set off car alarms at a distance of up to 30 ft. PRICE, PRICE, PRICE. Good for first time buyers who like loudness.

Weaknesses:
SQ gets horrible at times. Needs a sealed box. I think the Durability is a question

Similar Products Used:
2 12in. solobarics...Crushed em. 2 MTX 8000's...crushed em. Its an elite sub.

Review 5 of 8

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2000/AW1500

Summary:
The Audiobahn AW1500 has been be unmatched. I have owned subs since the RFosgate original Series 1 have been offered, to RFosgate XLC's, and finally to RFosgate DVC's. I have always loved Rockford Fosgate, but since I have owned these subs, they are just unparalleled to my new High Excursion 15's. I have heard all types of subs; Kicker CompVR 12s and 15s,MTX 6000/8000 10s 12s and 15s, Infinity Perfect 12s, Fosgate XLC/DVC 12s, 15s and 18s, etc... but in all honesty, from my vast knowledge, no comparison--especially 'bang for the buck'. I know this one guy who uses a 2.5cu.ft vented enclosure. You can't use a ported enclosure let alone the tuned frequency will not allow you to--so steer clear of vented enclosures and stay with the sealed. (I suggest using 3/4" MDF Board.)

Strengths:
It has 15mm of XMAX-800 w/rms-only 1.1cu.ft in a sealed enclosure are the specifications from Audiobahn-powered by my RFosgate Power800, has embarassed lots of JL 12w6, JL 15w3 and JL15w6. Along w/all other companies.

Weaknesses:
No SQ. But who the hell wants sound-quality, when you are hitting 152 at the IASCA dbDrags, to take the crown for the entry-level competitor.

Similar Products Used:
Kicker CompVRs and the round Solobarics-JL w0/w3/w6-RFosgate HE2/Hx2-MTX 8000-Orion HCCA-"No Comparison-All other companies compared to the AW1500 are just lost cries for weak status on the road!"
