Review 5 of 8 Year / Model Reviewed: 2000/AW1500 Summary: The Audiobahn AW1500 has been be unmatched. I have owned subs since the RFosgate original Series 1 have been offered, to RFosgate XLC's, and finally to RFosgate DVC's. I have always loved Rockford Fosgate, but since I have owned these subs, they are just unparalleled to my new High Excursion 15's. I have heard all types of subs; Kicker CompVR 12s and 15s,MTX 6000/8000 10s 12s and 15s, Infinity Perfect 12s, Fosgate XLC/DVC 12s, 15s and 18s, etc... but in all honesty, from my vast knowledge, no comparison--especially 'bang for the buck'. I know this one guy who uses a 2.5cu.ft vented enclosure. You can't use a ported enclosure let alone the tuned frequency will not allow you to--so steer clear of vented enclosures and stay with the sealed. (I suggest using 3/4" MDF Board.) Strengths: It has 15mm of XMAX-800 w/rms-only 1.1cu.ft in a sealed enclosure are the specifications from Audiobahn-powered by my RFosgate Power800, has embarassed lots of JL 12w6, JL 15w3 and JL15w6. Along w/all other companies. Weaknesses: No SQ. But who the hell wants sound-quality, when you are hitting 152 at the IASCA dbDrags, to take the crown for the entry-level competitor. Similar Products Used: Kicker CompVRs and the round Solobarics-JL w0/w3/w6-RFosgate HE2/Hx2-MTX 8000-Orion HCCA-"No Comparison-All other companies compared to the AW1500 are just lost cries for weak status on the road!"
