Review 2 of 14

Price Paid:  $350.00 from sounddomain.com

Year / Model Reviewed:
2003 rfr3113

Summary:
I own 1 rfr3115 power 15....with a 2004 T10001bd at 1 ohm powering 1400watts rms to it...& damn does this thing hit...i've easily out pounded 2 jl w6v2 12's & i am told that i should be able to out hit a 13 w7 easily...& i believe it...with the amp 1/4 of the way up it makes you teary eyed & rattles your ears & throat....with the punch bass all the way down...i have it in a 3.75 cubic foot ported enclosure...definatly worth the money...just put this in the right box.. & make sure that its strong.. this sub will definatly snap cheap or poorly made boxes...its recomended for ported or sealed enclosures....but lets face it...this is an spl sub....rockford fosgate recommends. anywhere from 2.5 to 4.0 cubic feet of air space for the ported boxes...but it seem to do best in a 3.5 to 4.0 cu.ft ported box....tuned to about 35 to 45hz for best spl responce

Strengths:
good sound quality for an spl sub..great construction..reasonable box size ....massive power handling...hits extreamly hard...takes just about anything you throw at it...& looks impressive

Weaknesses:
need alot of cash to buy an amp to power this thing...needs at least 1kw of power to wake this beast...worth the money$$

Similar Products Used:
various...to many to list

Review 3 of 14

Price Paid:  $289.00 from ebay

Year / Model Reviewed:
2004 RFR3115

Summary:
This is the best subwoofer I have ever heard and I regret selling it. I replaced it with 2 10inch kappa perfect subs and they couldn't hang or get loud at all. The fosgate sub ruled. But at 1 ohm my amp was drawing too much current and I was afraid to screw up my electrical. I didn't like the way it sounded at 4 ohms with alpine 1507. This sub hurt my ears I could not crank it up all the way. Put her in 1.5 cuft sealed box and give her 1500 watts rms. You'll have a loud system. I heard the stuff from JL and not even close....

Strengths:
BASS, PRICE, QUALITY, 2-YEAR WARRANTY, ONE SUB IS ENOUGH BASS IN 1.5 cuft sealed.

Weaknesses:
NEEDS A LOT OF POWER.
