Review 3 of 5

Price Paid:  $80.00 from Ultimate Audio

Year / Model Reviewed:
 6W0

Summary:
Just installed a single 6W0 in my Toyota Spyder this weekend. The sound from this little speaker is incredible. My setup includes a sealed box with only .073 cubic feet of air (JL Audio recommends at least .15, .073 is very tiny) and an Alpine 75X4 4/3/2 amplifier. I have the amplifier setup in its 3 channel mode so that 1 and 2 run the components in the doors while 3 and 4 are combined to run the 6W0. The depth that this single speaker adds is incredible and its compact size offers a lot in the way of convenience.

Strengths:
Excellent sound, great price.

Review 4 of 5

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
I''v got 2 of these in my ''98 Chevy Tahoe, hooked up to a 100-watt Rockford-fosgate Punch amplifier, and they realy pound for the extremely compact design! I don''t use a crossover. These were NOT cheap little, rattling subs. However, I would recomend a bandpass box if u can find one, and probably a crossover. A good product for the SEMI-Bass-Head consumer. They cost me $250 for the pair, used, but i think i paid a decent price, as they were only used for about half an hour.

Strengths:
The sound is really tight and smooth, very little distortion.

Weaknesses:
Not excellent at EXTREMELY high volumes. And they don''t hit like a good pair of 15''s, of course.

Review 5 of 5

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
If you can find someone that knows how to make a bandpass box for these, I would suggest them. I have heard them in a ported enclouse as well, but the bandpass is the way to go. If you do not know how to build this, contact Dean at d.gittins@artisticaudio.net and ask him to make one for you. These POUND in this box. I have a friend with 3 JL 10W0''s with the same amount of power that I have, and I go lower and louder then he does. These SCREAM in this enclosure.

Strengths:
Small, and versitile.

Weaknesses:
JL Audio does not believe in a bandpass enclosure for these. The company is wrong!
