Price Paid:  $75.00

Summary:
GREAT subs. Ive only had them for a short while but they have really impressed me. If your wanting some good sounding subs for a reasonable price then this is a must buy right here. Ive had many different JL audio subs and these pioneers blow JL out of the water!!

Strengths:
Good low bass. Doesnt distort from what ive seen. Great look.

Weaknesses:
NONE what so ever.

Similar Products Used:
Several different JL products used.

Price Paid:  $45.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 TS W304C

Summary:
I bought this sub from one of my friends for $45. We hooked it up to a 300 watt memphis audio amp and i have it in an .8 cubic feet box. This is is nice.. it easily matches my friends 12 and 10 running at 500 and 450 watts and another one of my friends two 12 inch Sony Xplods with a 1200 watt amp. The only problem I had with it is that it kind of distorts at higher volume.

Strengths:
Very loud and deep. Powerful..

Weaknesses:
Distorts when you turn it up..

Similar Products Used:
Kicker CompVR and Sony Xplods.

Review 4 of 14

Price Paid:  $1.00 from Ebay

Year / Model Reviewed:
2002 12inch

Summary:
So the other day I fried my JL Audio. Twas all my fault however. I was attempting to make it play a pure 14hz signal loud enough for me to hear. What it did was turn the subwoofer into a car massager. That is until it started smoking. So I was on ebay looking for a new sub, one that was cheap and would hold me through at least until I saved enough for a JL Audio 12W6v2-4. What I came upon was this awesome piece. WOW. It definately handles the power better than my JL Audio 12W0-4 (Because I forced it to run the 14hz sine wave at full volume and it didn't crap out like the JL 12W0). It doesn't pound as intensely but I don't need brain damage anyways. Looks cooler too.

Strengths:
Very Deep Bass. Handles power awesomely. My infamous subwoofer killing tests show that this sub will certainly last a while.

Weaknesses:
None for the price of less than a dollar. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=5725758226&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT

Review 5 of 14

Price Paid:  $75.00 from Ebay.com

Year / Model Reviewed:
 Pioneer TS W304C

Summary:
I bought this with a sealed box off of ebay for $75 + shipping almost a year ago. At that time, I had an alpine 35x2 75x1 amp that I was powering it with. It sounded good but I knew it needed more power. I later bought a 300x1 Kenwood amp and hooked it up. Wow! Much better. The sub plays all frequencys very well. It really shines in the low bass region. I got it to hit the grill with one note! When I bought the Kenwood amp, the seller would only sell it with his two 10" Kenwood subs so I bought the whole package. I was able to compare the two 10s with the Pioneer. The Pioneer definately beat the two tens in sound quality and low bass but the pair of tens had a lot more punch then the Pioneer. They were overall louder as well. Comparing the two, I didn't like the Pioneer for it's lack of punch. I decided to use the 10s until I could build a different box for the Pioneer. Not enough efficency. I was very impressed with how small of box it requires. The Pioneer sealed box takes up less than half of the room the double 10 sealed box does. I think that this can be a very good sub if it is implemented correctly. I.E. a good box. I don't know the volume of it's current box and I know that it is not MDF. Using this sub however, I was able to reach 125~129db. I don't remember the exact figure but I know it was in the 120s. Not bad I say for $75 including a box. I am currently using the 10s because I like the punch and I havn't had time to build a better box for the Pioneer.

Strengths:
Deep bass! Smooth response. Small box size. Good power handling.

Weaknesses:
Small box size (the darn box literally rolled around in my trunk! The double 10 box never moves even a few inches!). Somewhat low efficency. Lacking a punch.

Similar Products Used:
Kenwood KFC-W2505 10". Radio Shack PA speaker (this is not even similar but I included it because it was my first "subwoofer". Absolute crap of a sub!)
