Review 1 of 14

Price Paid:  $175.00 from Circuit City

Summary:
Best subs I have used, most people think i have 2 15s instead of 2 10s, would recommend these to anyone willing to spend a little money for great sound.

Strengths:
Great sound, great bass, and a great price for the quality

Weaknesses:
cones tend to be a little easy to tear or puncture

Similar Products Used:
Fosgate HE2 12s, Sony Xplode 10s, pioneer impp 10s, mtx blue thunder 10s

Review 2 of 14

Price Paid:  $130.00 from Circuit City

Year / Model Reviewed:
1993 Alpine SWR-1040D

Summary:
This is straight up a beast. I've been pushing it with the new kenwood 1000watt mono amp and omg....on level 10 i hear it from inside the house...damn. I beat the hell outta my friends systems which r 2 polk 10s 2 12 kenwoods, 1 10 mtx, ect. I also got a Q-logic large ported box and i sounds so tight, even tho there is a rumor sayin not 2 use 1. Bottom line IT'S A BEAST

Strengths:
Hitts HARD, clear sound, loudest cuss on the street

Weaknesses:
none.....yet

Similar Products Used:
Pioneer

Review 3 of 14

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
This sub is a beast for a 10 inch...Up against a 500 watt monoblock amp it outpounds the kicker cvr 15 inch i previously had...it takes the same amount of 1000 watts but runs more efficiently off of lower RMS...i heard not to get a ported box but it came in a specially designed rectangular-ported box by alpine with perfect specs and it's a beast...not huge in spl but enough to satisfy many bass lovers

Strengths:
Doesn't need a ton of juice but will take it...tight, musical sq bass...lots of bass for its size (doesn't waste space)

Weaknesses:
none that i have found yet! i'll keep everyone updated if i do

Similar Products Used:
kicker cvr 15 (good but the alpine has my favor)

Review 4 of 14

Price Paid:  $198.00 from www.etronics.com

Year / Model Reviewed:
 96 Mustang GT 5.0

Summary:
I was cruising the internet and i stumbled upon etronics.com. They had Alpine R-Series 10's for $99.99 each. I had wanted them for a long time, but Crutchfield charged $179.99 each. I bought them, put them in an open box behind the back seat, and wired them to a 1200 watt Boss Ripper Amp. One word *DAMN*... These subs are by far the best i have heard in a long time. Loud, hard hitting, no distortion, and you want to talk about bass. The first song i played, Remember by Disturbed almost took my head off. They get you attention lets just say that.

Strengths:
*NO DISTORTION* My Fosgate Punch's distorted on some really low notes, but these dont. Great Bass and they make your instillation look good.

Weaknesses:
I have yet to find some...

Similar Products Used:
Rockford Fosgate, Pioneer, Q-Power, and Kenwood.

i just recently installed 2 alpine swr-1041d in my ranger extra cab in a custom enclosure and they are by far the best 10's i have ever heard. they kill the eclipse 88100dvc's i was running. i would recomend these subs for anyone!!!!!

Strengths:
they dont need 500 rms to sound good 300rms is what each sub is gettin and they rock

Weaknesses:
they dont come with any sub gaskets so i bought some self stick door wheatherstripping to do the job.
