Review 1 of 5

Price Paid:  $20.00 from Ebay

Year / Model Reviewed:
2002 DB12

Summary:
A good friend of mine has sworn by Earthquake products for quite sometime (atleast 5 years) and now this is my first Earthquake... also first sub. Now I totally understand why he loves this sub! You do get more than what you pay for with Earthquake.

Strengths:
Crisp, clean, tight bass. Even as a bass player myself, my hat comes off to this fine product.

Weaknesses:
They are like the Shelby Cobra of the Sub world! There are bigger and better subs, but when you got one you got a classic. They are hard to find. Luckily mine was on Ebay for $20 bucks (new)!

Similar Products Used:
Pioneer 100W tweeters!

Review 2 of 5

Price Paid:  $0.00 from Overseas south afric

Year / Model Reviewed:
2001 db12

Summary:
I had 2 12inch explodes running of a 1000 watt sansui amp. I changed for a 1 earthquake sub n couldn't believe the sound. By far the best and low crispy i have ever heard.

Strengths:
Really low bass and also great quality. Just by having one of these subs is enough no matter the size of the car. Cheap subs compared to the other brands and worth every sent of your money.

Weaknesses:
Very hard to find. Need more than one amp to run for quality low bass.

Similar Products Used:
2 sony xplodes.

Review 4 of 5

Price Paid:  $69.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 DB12/2002

Summary:
I have 2 in a sealed box and a 2x200 rms amp bridge into 2 ohm load. These subs are amazing in sound quality. As a matter of fact, I had two JL12W0 and I thought the sound quality of those JLs was good until I replaced them with the DB12. One of the first thing you will perceive is the crispness of these earthquake subs. They are also clearer than the JL12W0 and all that I've had. Moreover, they put out a bit more dB; Sen. JL12W0. = 87.9 dB DB12 = 89 dB Don't get me wrong, I also like the JL12W0 but if I have to choose, I stay with the DB12 as I already did. Furthermore, if you want to go for the next level category of big magnets woofers and amps read the following. Otherwise, stay with the DB12 which can take a lot of watts also and will sound and pound louder bass than the DBX12 and DBX12D if you don't have lots of watts for them. I must advice that I tried the DBX12 and it is power hungry; you should buy it only if you use two of them into 2 ohm mono load which will be great. Another great combination would be two DBX12D in stereo or still better a mono load if you could get a 1 ohm stable amp.

Strengths:
Crisp, clear, bright and fresh nice bass pounding sound. One of the best, if not the best, for its price range.

Weaknesses:
Hard to find online to buy it.

Similar Products Used:
JL12W0, RFP-1212DVC(power hungry), Kicker12-ok for spl, pioneer, jensen, sony.
