from www.indoaudio.com Year / Model Reviewed: 2004 IDMAX V.2 D4 Summary: This Woofer is a technological marvel! How so much SQ is preserved at high output amazes owners of every audioshop i visit!
These sub's will not bottom out with less than 1200wattsRMS and are extremely efficient when wired in parallel. They also have a terrific frequency response in a ported 2cu/ft enclosure which is practically dead flat down to 40Hz before slow rolloff.
Im amazed people will pay double for W7's, Eclipse Titanium's, and Diamond Audio TDX12's when IDMAX's outpound them with better audio quality. Oh well... i guess that just makes it easier for me to win competitions by having a lack of competition. Strengths: They look SICK. Big and heavy.
They munch every other sub in medium wattage SQ compititions for preserving SQ at stupid output levels.
These are dirt cheap at only US$270 off then net! Weaknesses: The only weakness is that these are not marketed more heavily.
some owners have reported the roll-surround separating from the cone, but i suspect they were overpowering them too much. Similar Products Used: Orion. louder, worse SQ
Diamond audio. good SQ but bad efficiency.
Soundstream SPL15's. Tight...for 15's
DD's - overpriced
JLW7's - can you say marketing-makeover?
