Review 1 of 17

Price Paid:  $0.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
1998 Kenwood KFC-W3002 Subwoofers

Summary:
Hello guies, I own a pair of KFC-W3002 subwoofers that are mounted in "Free Air", and now I want to build a box for them to get more powerfull basses. I've lost the manual and I'd like to get one, preferable downloading a .pdf file to know which are the measures that you reccomend. Thank you.

Strengths:
Good and powerfull basses, should be more powerfull mounted in a closed or bass reflex box

Review 2 of 17

Price Paid:  $0.00 from family friend

Summary:
I got 2 of these subs and a bandpass box for free so I thought, well I'm not going to expect too much out of them. I got what I expected. They did alright, but I just blew one of them earlier this morning when I hooked up a more powerful amp. Oh well, gives me a reason to upgrade. They're good if you can get them by you, but they don't sound very good in a trunk.

Strengths:
Price

Weaknesses:
kinda weak

Review 3 of 17

Price Paid:  $80.00 from Ebay, for 2 subs+box

Year / Model Reviewed:
 kfc-w3002

Summary:
I havnt got any comparisons but ive just installed these subs in my rover metro, (fills the whole boot) with a KAC-819 mono subwoofer amplifier, which is 450W (my alternator couldnt take any more amps) And it sounds excellent, nice bass with a clear sound

Strengths:
Loud, although i havnt tried turning it up beyond driving volume :) I picked them up quite cheap as it came with a box included with speaker guards etc

Weaknesses:
The size, you need to sacrafice your boot, if you arent too bothered about the space but maybe you are about the tire, do what i did and bolt the sub through the metal and hold it with wingnuts (if you can) then when u need the tire, unscrew the nuts push the rear seats forward, push the sub forward, reach for the tire :)

Review 4 of 17

Price Paid:  $60.00 from Audio King

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2001 Kenwood 12"

Summary:
I was short on money so I bought super cheap buy one get one free subs, i was totally impressed, the sq kinda sucked, even in a sealed box, but they are loud!! I had two in a sealed box running off a American Bass VFL-550 amplifier, and I hit 141.1 db in my Dodge Shadow impressive for cheap subs.

Strengths:
Power handling, can be very loud

Weaknesses:
Sound Quality, cant hit the super lows like my Infinity Perfect can.

Similar Products Used:
Pioneer IMPP 12" (about the same), MTX 6000 10" (i hate 10"s) Infinity Perfect 12.1 (way better sq)

Review 5 of 17

Price Paid:  $35.00 from From Friend

Year / Model Reviewed:
 KFC W3002

Summary:
I don't know too much about subs but they do sound very good in my 1998 BMW. I have the one 12" sub and a 500 watt x2 channel amp running it. It's in a nice ported enclosure. Not too loud from outside my car, but sounds brilliant inside. You can really feel it in your chest & stomach!

Strengths:
Awesome bass inside. With the trunk open you can hear it from blocks away.

Weaknesses:
The foam surrounding the sub. It's not too loud outside of my car with the trunk shut.

Similar Products Used:
I am looking to purchase 2 JL 10" subs in a box from a friend, so I will compare them soon
