Review 1 of 15

Price Paid:  $140.00 from Best Buy

Year / Model Reviewed:
2001 Xplod XS-1235

Summary:
$140 ofr the pair on sale. These are some of the best budjet subs i ahve even seen. Bought them 3 years ago, only had minor problems. I've hit them at 365 watts and they just laughed at me.

Strengths:
Good lows for price, good durablity, great power handling

Weaknesses:
Can get slightly distorted when pushing them hard, other than that, and awesome Sony product. Just don't put them in a ported, or bandpass, they weren't meant to be in them. Stick with sealed.

Review 3 of 15

Price Paid:  $140.00 from Best Buy

Year / Model Reviewed:
2003 Sony Xplod XS-L1236

Summary:
I've got 2 XS-L1236s in my truck with a 1200 watt rockford amp pushing them and they sound great for the price.

Strengths:
Great sound quality and a pair can hit around 135db which is really good for under $150

Weaknesses:
They blow easily if your rms is over 300, this is my second pair and one is cracked thanks to a friend

Similar Products Used:
XS-L1235 basically the same...can't distinguish between the 1235 and 1236 if all you have to go by is sound
