Review 1 of 12

Price Paid:  $500.00 from local Cooper Dealer

Year / Model Reviewed:
2000 Audi A4 1.8T

Summary:
I have mixed reviews. When I first put these on my A4, they were awesome. They looked pretty cool and handled real well. I live in Upstate NY and they even performed great in the snow. The problems started after about 15,000 miles of use. They were ungodly loud and started to wear out. I even had a mechanic tell me I needed new wheel bearings, because the tires couldn't possibly be making all that noise. I had one bearing replaced and it corrected a quarter of the noise problem. By that time, after 24,000 miles, these tires were shot, so I just had them replaced with Continental touring tires. Needless to say my car is now deathly silent. No new bearings for me. Also, for Cooper Tires, which I always thought of as a cheaper replacement tire, they were very expensive. The local dealer that I bought them from quoted me 667.00 to have them replaced. Instead I special ordered the tires I wanted from Walmart for 400.00. I would never but these tires again. For the money, there are plenty of better options out there.

Strengths:
Good Handling in dry, wet and snow. Tread pattern looks cool

Weaknesses:
expensive, loud, poor treadlife

Similar Products Used:
Dunlop 8000, Continental ContiPremier Contact

Review 5 of 12

Price Paid:  $0.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 98 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP

Summary:
These tires are awesome. Smooth and quiet. I was completely surprised when I drove my car after having these tires put on. I went from 225/60HR16 to 245/50ZR16 and expected more noise and and rougher ride. It feels like I am driving a different car.

Strengths:
Quiet, smooth ride, even at speeds over 100MPH. Handling.

Weaknesses:
Made in England. (Not really a weakness, more of a surprise) The best tire from Cooper isnt made in the United States.

Similar Products Used:
Goodyear Eagle RS-A (hard and loud but longest lasting tire I have ever seen), Cooper Cobra XST (very rough ride and louder than the Goodyear but better in rain)
