Review 1 of 4

Price Paid:  $0.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
2000 Wrangler-GSA

Summary:
These are the tires that came on my truck. I know have over 75,000 miles on these tires and while they are about ready to be retired they have been a great tire for me.

Strengths:
Good looks and long wearing tire for me.

Weaknesses:
None really but they maybe a lacking on traction on wet roads.

Review 2 of 4

Price Paid:  $10000.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
2000 Jeep Cherokee

Summary:
I live in the Northeast. Yea, snow really dumps on us VERY heavy. Last year I had the R/T's(OEM) on, not bad and not great either. This winter I bought the M/T. So far we have had 4 major snow storms and the M/T's have been superior. I have never slipped. I drove through snow banks past my waist line and I'm 6'4". I took it off road in very deep mud and it was like I was driving on a dirt road. Rotating the tires every oil change will cause even wear and your M/T's will last a long time.

Strengths:
Superior mud, snow and off-road traction

Weaknesses:
A bit loud and wears quick, yet remember its an off-road tire with large lugs. That is expected.

Similar Products Used:
BFG All Terrain mud and AT's. Good year R/T. Firestone

Review 3 of 4

Price Paid:  $121.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 1989 Cherokee

Summary:
Stay the heck away from this milquetoast for anything but mud and sand, or if you like cool looks and boulevard cruising. I am sorry I bought these every single day I wake up and have a flat or have to put in a tube.
ALready spent a fortune on repairs and vulcanizing, waiting for my BFG's to arrive here.

Strengths:
It has great traction in mud, ( directional, self cleaning helps), it has good dry pavement handling. Soft ride on dry ground, great climbing power ( again, traction)/

Weaknesses:
It is the weakest sidewalled tire I have ever had. It has the S/H/I/T/T/I/E/S/T puncture resistance know to mankind! It has the weakest body of any tire this side of a Fisher Price toy!! I have had BFGs, Coopers, Cepeks, etc, and believe you me, this tire is the weakest and most prone to damage! CUts and bruises to sidewall are a weekly occurance, and flats daily!! Cannot stand up to even prickly pear thorns in side. STAY AWAY for anything other than road driving ( looks!), or places where there is only snad or mud.

Similar Products Used:
I would never EVER by Goodyear MT's again. I think even Goodyear realized it sucked, since now they have the MT/R. SO they must have had more complaints. I hope the ones on the Hummers are better. I would definitely stick to BFG Mud Terrains, or Dick Cepek's. Coopers gave me goodresults also. But this MT, sheeshus!!

Review 4 of 4

Year / Model Reviewed:
 Jeep CJ7 V-8

Summary:
Very MEAN looking tire with traction to match off road. Not the best choice if you are only an occasional off roader or never go off road or only go on the beach. For beach use the tire bites down a lot and you want to float on the sand, not dig. If you want agressive looks with a bareable ride combined with off road ability if the need would to arise check out the Goodyear AT/S or GSA, or older AT. Stay away from the RTS as it is really not suitable off road despite coming as OEM on many SUV's today. I hated these tires. My favorite? The GSA.

Strengths:
Ultimate grip in the rough, tough tire that holds up to rocks and other hazzards on and off the road. I can only imagine how good the new version is (the MT/R).

Weaknesses:
Noise on the road. It is noisy, but not any more so than other mud tires. These are actually quite good since they are directional tires with a tire designed for each wheel position. There is a specific tire for the left and rear. This is bad if you need a new tire and the store doesn't have your side! Wet weather traction is midpack. The tread doesn't have "sipes" in them to drain as much water out. There are large voids, however. LAstly, they wear quicker with highway use when compared to AT's or AT/S Goodyears. These I guess would be a 70/30 tire. 70% use offroad and the rest just getting to the off road location via highway (30%).

Similar Products Used:
Goodyear AT, AT/S, RTS, and GSA.
BFG AT, MT
General MT, AP
