Summary:
This tire is the closest that mathes the XGT V4 that I have on my 98 Volvo S90. I have 77,000 miles on my Volvo and I have the 3rd set of tires and looking for my 4th set. I have always preferred Michelin's but this will be my last set on any of my cars ever. I have 20,000 miles on this set and got 25,000 on the last set. I'm a standard driver and rotate my tires. I had a blow out last week on my rear tire. My car is a rear wheel drive.

Strengths:
Comfortable ride.

Weaknesses:
Wears out too fast. Terible on wet roads. If I'm on the interstate when it's raining heaving, I will get off the road, I don't trust these tires in the rain.

Summary:
I know the V4's that came factory on my car are not the same tire as the Z rated but the V4's weren't listed and I wanted to submit a review. These tires are garbage. I don't think I'll buy Michelins again. They slip like you woudn't believe on wet roads and may as well be summer radials in snow. I have 20,000 miles on them and they need to be replaced long ago as they tramell too much. Sometimes its dangerous as the car cathes a rut in the road and practically pulls me into oncoming traffic. Anyone have suggestions on a better all season radial?

Strengths:
look okay

Weaknesses:
have had to rebead them 3 times and continue to leak at bead, poor wet driving, unbeliveably bad in snow

Summary:
All of these other reviewers are idiots. The XGT-V4 is a "performance all-season" tire. All season is terrible for dry performance, all that all season means is that they are designed to work at a lower temperature. The XGT-Z and XGT-V4 are in completely different leagues. It''s like comparing a Monte Carlo to a Corvette. Nothing about those 2 tires is in any way, shape or form similar. The X-One is even worse, it''s hard as a brick. It is a cavalier compared to the Vette. There is absolutle zero relation between these tires and the XGT-Z. It is an ultra high performance tire. It''s OEM on the Viper for corn''s sake. Don''t be mislead by these other people.

DRY GRIP. MASSIVE DRY GRIP

Weaknesses:
wear fast (like and extreme performance tire)

Summary:
This is a review of the XGT-V4, a "slower" version of the XGT-Z. Performance is bad in wet weather; deadly in snow, ice, or slush. Treads are 2/3 gone in 22000 miles. I crashed my car on these tires because I spun out in light rain. Don't buy unless you live in sunny and dry climate.

Strengths:
Excellent dry weather grip, very quick steering response.

Weaknesses:
Bad in wet weather. Horrible in snow. Not quiet. Expensive.

Summary:
Okay, XGT-V4's came on my car stock, but only XGT-Z's were listed on this site. It appears to be basically the same product with a lower speed rating.

Anyway, I would recommend that if you have any enemies in rainy regions, you should consider sending these as a "let's be friends (snicker)" gift. I can't wait until the tread has worn down enough to justify replacing them. If they make it until next winter, I'm just going to do so anyway, for my safety.

Strengths:
Haven't fallen off the rims. Quiet. Didn't really have to pay for them (OEM tires).

Weaknesses:
Hard rubber. No stick. These are absolute crap. I might be able to excuse the abysmal wet-weather and non-existent snow performance if these would at least handle well on dry pavement. Unfortunately, that's not the case. Why tire mfr's still put their name on such shoddy products is beyond my comprehension. I don't want to buy any Michelins after these!
