Summary:
As most people know, it is expensive to rent cars from any rental company. However, I think it is absolutely wrong that Phoenix (Budget) charges 15% extra taxes for building a new sports stadium. Why should travelers from other states pay this fee? The USA needs new schools not more sports..Americans are stupid enough!

Summary:
The car rental experience I had was an good experience overall. My complaint is the RapidRez/Fastbreak program. It is listed as "free" to sign up and that's true but there is an extra charge every time you rent a vehicle with your RapidRez number. It's probably "OK" but the deception is a bit concerning.

Strengths:
Reasonable price (not exactly cheap), good car and Where2 was nice.

Weaknesses:
A bit deceptive on the RapidRez/Fastbreak issue.

Summary:
I'm not sure "budget" is the appropriate name. Their rates are not much better than other car rental companies and I don't see any value-add over the other rental companies. Even their truck rental rates don't fall into the "budget" category.

Strengths:
Availability when other rental companies don't have what you want. Could it be that Budget is one of the last rental companies that people use when traveling?

Weaknesses:
There customer service is weak. I went in for a specific vehicle and it was unavailable when I walked up to the counter. Nothing unusual since, like most other rental companies, they offer something similar in class. My beef is that people behind the counter did absolutely nothing to help locate the vehicle I wanted (either at another location) or upgrade me to something better.
