Review 2 of 2 Summary: At almost $500 a month on lease, it's a car for people who believe in its cause, but it delivers a great driving experience. It's a fine second or third car, best at moderate commuting (and even better in traffic -- the mileage is half again better in stop-and-go driving than at top speed). I charge mine mostly at work and have an at-home charger for weekends or heavy-use days (>50 miles a day). One a 6-hour charge I can go 60 miles on the freeway or 100 on the street; that's two to four days driving for work and errands. And the running cost is the equivalent of gas at a 50 cents a gallon! Strengths: It's a good all-around family car for commuting and short trips around town. Roomy and well laid out. Seats 4 adults in comfort and a small hatchback space for groceries and packages. Weaknesses: I've had trouble with the driver window sticking and the suspension squeaking, but other than that, it has solid fit-and-finish. I wish it had cruise control and rear speakers, though. Similar Products Used: Much higher mileage per charge than the GM EV 1, and seats four, though it doesn't have that car's top speed.
