from Fresno Year / Model Reviewed: 1999 Lexus LS400 Summary: A perfect car. Amazing ride, power, and quality.
We bought used for my wife, as the C320 was just way too small for a kid the car seat in the back. Got a Certified 1999 with 49k miles from the local dealer. The car looks brand spanking new. You cannot tell it has more than 100 miles on it.
We drove it to Carmel right away, and it got 24 mph highway, about 16 in town. The highway figure includes some passing and mountain climbs, too, though.
I was amazed at the power and the smoothness of the ride. This car is darn near perfect. Inside, it looks like a top-of-the-line Toyota -- duh. Nothing flashy or remarkable about the looks.
The transmission is absolutely invisable. It's the closet thing to continuously variable I've ever experienced. Shifts are undetectable. Strengths: Ergonomics, smooth ride, power, quality. Weaknesses: Sort of bland, in a way.
