Review 1 of 66

Price Paid:  $42500.00 from Brogan Caddy, NJ

Year / Model Reviewed:
2008 CTS4

Strengths:
Luxury level, ride & handling. Seems to be living up to the Car of the year status.

Weaknesses:
None I can find at this time, even when trying to find something wrong, I can't.

Summary:
This car is truly amazing. I love everything about it. I have the CTS4 with performance package,AWD 18 whls. performance brakes. The car almost makes you feel guilty with the luxury level. I did my homework and compared it to many vehicles, for the money there was no comparison..sorry. I also spoke to a Cadillac Master Mechanic I know. He told me the car was solid and he has seen nothing like it in his 20 years as a Cadillac mechanic. I know it may be to soon to tell, but so far better than good. If that changes I will be back, some how I doubt I will. At least with any complaints, I hope.

Review 2 of 66

Price Paid:  $58000.00 from ontairo dealership

Year / Model Reviewed:
2008 cts 4

Strengths:
Looks and sound system, electric tilt and telescoping steering

Weaknesses:
Storage space, lots of no credit options as you navigate through the packages to build the car you want, lost track of the number of painted and polished rims that were deleted as I optioned out the car. Personalization is much less than past Cadillac’s and Auroras. Poor quality paint which is disappearing from the leading edge of the rear wheel wells,

Summary:
Better than my 2003 CTS, better than my 2006 CTS but only because of the direct injection and all wheel drive

Similar Products Used:

2003 CTS, 2006 CTS second vehicle is 2002 S10 which I love

Review 3 of 66

Price Paid:  $42000.00 from Watseka Cadillac

Year / Model Reviewed:
2008 2009 CTS

Strengths:
Looks great

Weaknesses:
Cadillac will not stand behind their product. Defective brakes, transmission, electronics, window seals, radio changes stations on it's own, headlights fog up, inside of windows frost over, battery "slushes" over causing electrical failure, OnStar service discontinued becuase of vehicle failure making it necesssry to restart service.

Summary:
We ordered an "09 CTS with hopes it would be up to the Cadillac reputation, however we have had problems from day 1, perhaps an updated reputation is needed. It is going back in the shop for the 9th time in 8 months. Cadillac does not stand behind their product. Customer Care has proven to be simply a place to express your concerns, they will call the service department: however will not provide any other relief. Defective brakes, transmission, radio, electronic controls, very distracting wind noise in cabin, windows frost up in the inside, both headlights fog up inside the lens are just a few of the problems we have encountered, all within the first 8 months of ownership. We DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND PURCHASE of this vehicle. If the vehicle you purchase has issues you will be on your own. The red carpet rolled out relating to the service was found to be another GM ploy. We had our sights set on a DTS for this years purchase, however we only need to get hit by a Mack truck once for us to figure out it hurts. We have made a complaint with the Illinois Attorney General's Office against the company and the dealership has come to the point where they do not want the vehicle in their shop anymore because they can not figure out the problems. Cadillac techs do not return their inquiry calls. Please be aware of this in your considerations in manufactures to deal with when buying a new vehicle. Cadillac has lost a long time family customer and several others who have inquired on our satisfaction with our vehicle. It looks beautiful when it is not on the rack, which is not very often. It has been 8 months of total frustration, spending over $40,000 on a vehicle one should reasonably expect the manufacturer to stand behind it. This is not the case with General Motors.

Review 5 of 66

Price Paid:  $50000.00 from actuel cadillac

Year / Model Reviewed:
2008 cadillac cts 4wd 3.6

Weaknesses:
It's a GM whatever the marketing want us to believe, built like a GM, always at a GM dealer for repairs.

Summary:
Real crap! after 1year, had to change breaking system (manufacturer default), rebuilt the engine (they forgot to seal it...) and now the alternator. Also, lot of weird sounds, electronic problems. GM don't wanna do anything. Don't buy this crap. Perfect car when it starts...

Similar Products Used:
bmw, mercedes, which are way better.
