Year / Model Reviewed:
2006 s65 brabus package

Strengths:
ENGINE, INTERIOR, EXTERIOR, AND EVERYTHING.

Weaknesses:
Might be too powerful and also might distract other drivers.

Summary:
Wow this car is what gets me up in the morning, this is the car that has everything luxary, looks and POWER it comes with a 604hp v12 engine, it is the beast my favorite part is when i start the engine it sounds AMAZING it is Fully loaded with all the goodies that brabus adds; Tilt, massage and airconditioning seats, active light controll, keyless entry, and u can start it from your house. Plus all the luxury and technology MB offers. This car is my dream car i wouldn't sell this ever, with 604hp i can fly past anything i can even keep up with the new MB Slr maclaren. I first drove this car in germany it was flying past everyone but one car the MB Slr.

Price Paid:  $0.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
2004 S500 4Matic

Strengths:
4matic, Nav system, quality, luxury, silent ride, built in Sirius

Weaknesses:
Can't figure out how to see the outside temp when driving???

Summary:
Just picked this certified pre=owned up after driving a 2000 BMW 740i for the last 3 1/2 years and I am in love with this car. It is a different feel than the BMW in terms of handling, but this vehicle feels like it is the standard in terms of luxury and quality. I got out of the 740 due to the cost of repairs and maintenance over the last 18 months (>$5000!!!) and my dreading of the winter here in SE PA. I made the decision that I was going to go MB 4matic or Audi AWD. After a 30 minute ride in the MB S500, test drove the Audi A8 and went about 1/4 mile in it and felt let down. The Audi felt solid, but heavy and I felt like it was trying really hard to be a sport performance combo--the handling of the BMW with the luxury and quality of MB, but it didn't feel "real". Went with the 2004 MB S500 based on the quality, the certified warranty, the 4matic, the sceduled maintenance and the price. I've been in it now 2 weeks and absolutely love the feel of it. Total luxury, like riding on a cloud. Has Sirius satellite, easy to figure out Nav sustem, the Nappa leather, Burl walnut trim, etc... I remember being this excited when I got the 740, but after the last 18 months of repairs and total inability to get anywhere when there was more than an inch of snow, felt like it was time to move on. Hopefully I'll be back in a year telling you how happy I am!

Review 4 of 53

Price Paid:  $129000.00 from Benson Motor Co.

Strengths:
The carefully placed wood trim nicely accents the aluminum and metal fixtures around the cabin. The COMAND system isn't as complicated as people say. I've learned to use it without a manual...through trial and error. (I guess b/c I grew up in the techno revolution.) The Airmatic Suspension coddles the passengers, relieving them from the trials and tribulations of New Orleans pot hole driving. The car also can be raised to give higher clearance during natural disasters such as floods or simply to avoid scraping the front lip spoiler on a ridiculously high driveway. Another spoiling feature is the rear vanity mirrors. The rear passengers are delivered with two lighted fold down vanity mirrors and reading lights, whilst the front passengers are spoiled further with zoom-feature vanity mirrors and Xenon reading lamps. The car is packed with an endless list of pampering features. This is what you pay for...it's not just the exclusivity, the marquee, but it's also the luxury, refinement, and exquisite attention to detail that make Mercedes outshine all other brands. You know, it's the only brand that offers 24 hour free road side assitance (gas, flat tire, spare tire, etc.) even after

Weaknesses:
(cont'd from strengths) the four year warranty has expired! Did I mention the pneumatic automatic soft-close doors? Precisely...simply astonishing! Some materials aren't of the highest quality, i.e. the interior roof. Also, the CD-ROM based navigation system could use a DVD based navi system (This will relieve many of us travellers from changing CDs as we hop around from city to city.) The $90,000+ car could also use a 6-disc CD changer. They seemed to have thought of everything else but the CD changer! =)

Summary:
The Mercedes-Benz S Class glides quietly and smoothly on the highways and byways with speeds in excess of 100 mph. The cabin is warm and soothing with butter smooth, glove soft nappa leather. Our family has been acquainted with quite a few marques, however, Mercedes always seems to lead the pack. It not only looks ravishing on the inside and outside with its coupe like curves and opulent jewel-box interior, but it also drives effortlessly with an impeccable demeanor. It's quite pulchritudinous!

Similar Products Used:
Our family currently owns and has owned such rivals of the S-Class as the BMW 750iL/740i, Lexus LS400/430, Audi A8L, and the Jaguar XJ8/Vanden Plas/Supercharged.
