The Cobalt is a 2- or 4-door, 5-passenger family coupe, or family sedan, available in 8 trims, ranging from the LS Coupe to the Sport Sedan.
The LS Coupe is equipped with a standard 2.2-liter, I4, 148-horsepower engine. The Sport Sedan is equipped with a standard 2.4-liter, I4, 171-horsepower engine that achieves 22-mpg in the city and 32-mpg on the highway. A 5-speed manual transmission with overdrive is standard on both trims, and a 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is optional.
