Review 1 of 140

Price Paid:  $1500.00 from KAO motors

Year / Model Reviewed:
1999 Chrysler Cirrus LXi

Summary:
So far, so good. I've only owned the car for a little over six months, but I'm hoping it lasts me atleast two more years. I've put about 7,000 miles on it and with it currently having over 170,000, it runs like a champ. When I bought it they told me the air compressor was bad and it needed new brakes. The only other additional repair I've had to make was the distributor. Also, the air conditioner/heater fan only works on high.

Strengths:
great interior and getup. Handles well.

Weaknesses:
engine had a ticking noise since i bought it, ended up being the distributor which was replaced and the ticking has stopped.

98 Cavalier--ran great for two years with over 130,000 miles until I totalled it =)

Review 2 of 140

Price Paid:  $7000.00 from Crivelli in Beaver P

Year / Model Reviewed:
2000 Chrysler

Summary:
This car is the worst car I have ever owned. I will never by a Chrysler product again. My 2000 Cirrus has 84000 miles on it. The Transmition was leaking and furtunatly we found a machanic that could just replace the seals. The dealership wanted to replace the transmition. Also radiator, ball joints tire rods ect. have all gone bad. I have spent so much money fixing this car. We have spent $1700 dollars in 6 months fixing this junk pile. Watch for the leaking transmition this is a common problem in these cars and an entire transmition in this car is very expensive find a machanic that knows about the kit they make to just replace the problem not the entire transmition.

Strengths:
looks

Weaknesses:
front end, transmition, radiater hopefully nothing else

Buick is my favorite car I will never stray again

Review 3 of 140

Price Paid:  $12000.00 from World Cars, Sault St

Year / Model Reviewed:
2000 Cirrus LX

Summary:
Nice car, rides great, lots of room. We have taken the car on a couple of trips and like the gas mileage, very comfortable for our son in the back seat. Dissapointed at the wheel bearings, on my second replacement now. Brakes are always squeaking. We do like the car and so far not too many problems. Wheel bearings are expensive though.
Engine has been good, no problems this far. Bought the car in Nov 2005 with about 75000 kms. Now has almost 90000.

Strengths:
Very roomy
Rides smooth

Weaknesses:
Wheel bearings are going only after five years.
Brakes always squeak

Similar Products Used:
No chryslers - we own a Nissan Pathfinder, also had Toyota Camry(1991) and a Pontiac FireFly (1990) and CHev Cavalier(1991)

Review 4 of 140

Price Paid:  $5000.00 from wholesaler

Year / Model Reviewed:
1998 cirrus LXI

Summary:
I bought this car because of the looks and the motor, its never let me down and the only thing that went wrong with it is I had all the seals done on the motor and ball joint. It had 139000km when i bought it and its has a little tick and it now has 2100000km and still run great, can still spin the tires like when I bought it. The brakes are great but they heat up after 2 or 3 times. I hope I get at least 2 more years out of it before it dies.

Strengths:
great 2.5 v6 fast
great stereo system
trouble free car.

Weaknesses:
The dame ticking and
The blower resister

Review 5 of 140

Price Paid:  $5000.00 from from family member

Year / Model Reviewed:
1999 Cirrus

Summary:
I was given this car when it had about 80,000 miles on it and I have proceeded to put another 30,000 on it in about a year and a half. For the most part it has been a joy to drive. Given, this is compared to my last car, a 1992 Geo Prizm, but mechanically the car seems relatively solid. The only system that I have had problems with are the front wheels. Twice in the last year I have had to have the brake pads replaced along with the calipers the second time (probably causing the pads to wear out originally. More recently, however, inexplicable the front passenger side tie rod sheared off. . . fortunately I was in a parking lot when it happened, but it was a sickening sight to see one tire straight and the other at a 60 degree angle. This latest issue came up without warning: this car has not been in an accident since I have owned it, and there were no signs of wear before hand. Interestingly enough, there was a recall on the tie rods and ball joints for the 1997 Cirrus, but not for this model. As I said, so far it has been a pretty solid car, even with 110,000 miles on it.

Strengths:
Decent looking car, confortable and amenity filled interior, runs very well at 110,000 miles

Weaknesses:
Front wheel maintenance issues: brakes, ball joints, tie rods, alignment etc
