from Wyatt-Johnson Import Year / Model Reviewed: 2001 Daewoo Nubira Strengths: Decent gas mileage, very nice looking. Spacious trunk and interior, well placed knobs and controls. Comfortable seats...good for long rides, and low noise on the inside. Lots of options if you are one to "accessorize" a car to fit your personal style with rims, tint, detailing, etc. Weaknesses: Paint job is not the best. They must have skimped on the clear coat. Door handles on the front doors tend to peel (but they replace these at the dealership with no hassle). Tires/Rims are poor. Cause a bad vibration at the front end. Suggestion...wider rims and a good low to high end speed range alignment. Cupholders...everyone has a sense of humor. And the horn...a bit embarrasing. The Roadrunner "meep meep" is louder. Company relations are unsteady. Will I be able to get my Woo serviced in the future...who knows!! Summary: I love my Nubie (as I've affectionately named her). I've gotten plenty of compliments on the style of the car, even though people are not familiar with the name. If you're willing to take a chance, this is a good chance to take. Bear in mind all vehicle manufacturers have to start somewhere, but Daewoo is off to a "fair to middling" start. Similar Products Used: Honda Civic, Mercury Tracer, Ford Contour, Toyota Tercel. (all of which had problems "in the beginning"
