Strength:

cute and reliable

Weakness:

air flow weak
could have faster take off

I love this car. My first car, my baby.
I bought it for $800 dollars perfect inside needed paint outside but that has nothing to do with it. Ran great, could have took off faster and could have had stronger air flow, or maybe that was just my car. I loved it until a big truck hit me from behind. It folded just as it was supposed to, to protect me! now it is unrepairable, but it kept me safe and drove great everyday for the 3 months i had it...i put 4,000 miles on it in that time perfect everyday car, even has 4 seats for passengers!

Strength:

Good looking, small, and nice interior.

Weakness:

Cheap, and constantly something is wrong with it.

Worst purchase I have ever made in my life. My first car and two months after I have it the transmission was shot. This was only at about 65000 kms! It cost 1300.00 to repair and even after it's been fixed the overdrive light flashes on and off. I don't know if it was the person who owned it drove it badly before me or if it was the place I bought it, but it seems like a little too much money to keep up with the repairs for it, especially since I'm a student.

strong clutch. gas mileage. looks clean.

Weakness:

was slow at first now quicker than hell and 600 hundred pounds lighter than normal.( no options 100% standard to begin with). tires suck ass. too small. time for rims. no tilt steering is a pain in the ass.

not a bad car it looks great after a fresh wash. i love beating the crap out of it. after some simple modifications, it runs 150 horsepower. but in turn when i drive like grandma i can get 28 to 30 miles to the gallon city driving. thats good. i also screwed carmax out of a 900 hundred dollar clutch and got it installed for free. (totall price) who wouldnt want one. i do admit it was slow when i first got it. but the clutch is so smooth and easily worked.

Strength:

A sound system

Weakness:

The rest of the car. Wind noise, engine noise, the whole car was made cheaply.

This is my first car and I wish I have read the reviews before I purchased this car. This car has more issues than a Politican. I purchased this car at 86,000 miles. After two months the engine was blown, one of my four cylinders is not working. Right now it shakes and when making a turn (any turn) there is a loud knocking sound. The wind noise is incredibly loud, I thank God that there was a good sound system in it. Unfortuantely I am a college student and I can't afford to get rid of the Kia. Trust me you do not want to get the same boat I am in. Don't purchase a Kia at least not a Kia Sephia.

Wow, what a car. Has over 600,000 miles on it, and running strong. I can't believe all the negative reviews on this model. Would recommend Kia or Hyundai to anyone looking for most bang for the buck.

Cold a/c and good heater. Nice for summer in Phoenix. Replaced the radio, definite necessity for the car. I guess god gas mileage.

Weakness:

Uh, the whole car. You get what you pay for, cheap car. I bought the car slightly used so I didnt even get the full warranty.

The kia was my first car and still is 5 years later. It is still holding strong considering I swear they made it out of bubblegum and tape. The car really is a piece of crap. First on the freeway, I can't ever hear myself talk because the wind noise is so strong even though the car shakes above 75 mph. When I first bought the car, something was "defective" atleast every week with the notices from the manufacturer. First the fuel line was defective, then the passenger air bag and seatbelts. The notices were always so comforting saying if you don't fix this, your car may explode. Nice. Atleast the seat belts were defective so when the car blows up all the passengers can get out faster. Oh yeah, the car is a automatic but it would stall every time I started it and the dealship could not figure out why?? After several trips to the dealships to fix stuff, they replaced one plate on my transmission and yet I am still having problems with it. In addition to the consistent problems, the car takes 10.6 minutes to accelerate to 25mph, especially if the air conditioner is on. The brakes go out every four months and I will say however the car does get me from place to place, I guess. If I had read the reviews about the car ahead of time, I would have bought a better car that could last me through college.

Strength:

I can't even say the warranty, as the dealer hardly ever agrees to honor it unless you get very forceful, yell, and threaten to contact Kia. The only good thing is it's easy to get financed for! But that could be a bad thing in the long run, for some people who get in over their heads, credit-wise.

Weakness:

Brakes that go out in under 4 months of purchase. Brakes that freeze shut on the back tires, needing complete replacements. Check engine lights that never go away. Muffler that falls off in a year. An unexplainable whiplash-like jerking while driving (getting that one checked out tomorrow). Trying to get the dealer to honor the 100,000 mile or 10 year warranty is like pulling teeth.

Terrible, terrible car. The only people who should buy this car are those with an extra $10K laying around. No one else should, especially not those with young children or other vulnerable family members.

Great looks, great gas milage, reliable, roomy and with 125hp engine and manual 5 speed transmission will pretty much beat anything else in its class off the light!

Weakness:

The engine gets a little loud when pushed past 140km per hour! The body does get "dings" quite easily if you happen to park beside someone with no respect for someone elses property

120,000km and still going strong! This has been the BEST car my wife and I have ever owned. We bought it new in Sept. 2000, with the 0% financing for 4 years it was a deal we could not turn down. This car asside from what is called "REGULAR MAITENANCE"... has cost us nothing. It has never left us stranded, gets fantastic gas mileage and has every power option that anyone could want. The air conditioning works great in the summer and the heater heats up fast. And when you live in Canada... thats pretty important! With 4 snow tires on steel rims We have yet to get stuck. Just bought a set of BF Goodridge radial T/A's for the factory aluminum rims. Went with the wider low profile tire and now she runs even smoother and handles much better than the old factory Hankook tires that were on it.
